"So," Peter began, stuffing his hand into the bag of popcorn Shuri prepared earlier as he watched Loki swing his staff, hitting Tony straight in the head and sending him sprawling backward through the air on the screen of the huge television in one of many common rooms in Avenger's Tower, "what number does this attack make? Twelve in one week?"

Shuri shrugged, grabbing the coke that sat between them and taking a sip from the purple straw that was stuck in it. Peter's straw was red because he was Spiderman, but she was sure it was something closer to the fact that it was Stark's signature color. Setting the drink back down between them, she casually kicked her feet up onto the table in front of them, ignoring the offended look Peter shot her out of the corner of her eye. After a beat, he lifted his feet and set them beside hers anyway, making her smirk a bit in amusement.

"Eleven, actually," she clarified, watching on the screen as the Black Widow narrowly avoided being grabbed by one of the many Doom-Bots that fought at Loki's side. The sight of Clint being grabbed and being bodily thrown at Natasha startled a laugh out of her, the look of total shock on his expression is more than enough with Natasha's own shocked one as she attempted to catch the man, only to be thrown to the ground under his weight. Peter started laughing beside her, and managed to gasp out, "tag yourself, I'm Natasha when the teacher assigns extra homework."

Shuri only laughed harder, doubling over and holding her stomach as she laughed, tears welling up in her eyes. It was no secret that she and Peter often quoted vines and memes around each other, often just to annoy and baffle the adults around them. It was their "Gen-Z" sense of humor showing, their jokes often fatalistic or downright cringy, but whenever one of them started the joke, the other one had to finish it. She'd once yelled "this bish empty" only to watch Peter reflexively throw Cap's shield, yelling "YEET". Peter hadn't been able to meet the Captain's gaze for AGES after that!

Lifting her head up at the television, she barely managed to catch the sight of T'Challa being held in the air by the back of his neck by a Doom-Bot, his arms not quite long enough to punch the robot to get it to drop him. Shuri grinned in delight, and beside her, Peter held his breath, knowing whatever she was about to say was going to be gold.

"I'm the Doom-Bot holding T'Challa when I think I've got a hold on my life."

The end of her sentence was punctuated by T'Challa managing to wriggle out of the robot's hold, spinning midair and kicking the robot's head hard enough it sailed off.

There was a beat of silence before Peter and Shuri burst into laughter, Shuri slumping over to lean against Peter's side as she laughed. Thankfully, Peter was able to grab their drink before it spilled, putting it on the table as he continued to laugh with her.

Just then, Loki vanished from the center of the fight, making Peter smirk. "He's like that meme where the kid throws up a peace sign and vanishes."

Shuri snorted, not getting up from where she leaned against him as she smirked, "Tony whenever Cap asks him to do something."

Peter snorted beside her, grinning, "More like any of the Avengers when we quote a vine."

Shuri laughed, and from behind them, there was a soft chuckle. Both teens froze before shooting up and spinning around, only to come face to face with Loki himself. Loki watched them with faint bemusement, leaning against the staff he'd come to start fighting with, his gaze flickering slowly between the two of them before he finally settled on, "even Stark doesn't know what Vine is? Doesn't he own the internet you mortals are so fond of?"

The teens stared at him, and he stared back, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips in bafflement. Just then, there was a crash on the TV behind them, and Loki's gaze flickered to it. Peter turned reflexively, and after a beat when she was sure Loki wasn't planning anything, she turned to look. There was a replay going on, the News showing again and again as Captain America shouted an order up at Iron Man, only for him (in true Stark-Style, Shuri thought) to ignore it, and end up being grabbed and thrown through a building. The camera then zoomed in on Cap's face, his expression pretty much screaming 'are you fucking serious' as he stared blankly at the building Tony had just been thrown through.

Behind them, there was a deep chuckle, both teens turning to look as Loki laughed. After a moment, he grinned, simply stating, "me whenever Thor managed to get himself into trouble after ignoring my advice."

Shuri was the first one to laugh, Peter shortly joining in and Loki looking extremely pleased with himself as he watched the pair of teens dissolve into laughter. The ridiculousness of it was just too much for them, knowing the God of Mischief, the Avengers' Public Enemy Number One, Thor's Brother, made a meme joke.

Slowly, their laughter dissipated, leaving the teens to watch as Loki casually crossed the room and grabbed a handful of popcorn as his gaze settled on the fight. The Avengers were finishing off the last of the Doom-Bots, and Loki smirked as Thor finally seemed to notice his absence, watching as lightning crackled angrily around his fingers.

"So, Mr. Loki," Peter began slowly, and Loki turned slightly to look at the teen as he casually popped a piece of popcorn into his mouth. Raising an eyebrow, Peter took it as a sign to continue and cleared his throat awkwardly, "why.. are you here, anyway?"

Humming, Loki let his gaze linger on the Spiderling before it flickered briefly to Shuri beside him, who was looking at him with the same amount of curiosity. Finally, he swallowed, then addressed both of them simply.

"Because I wished to be here."

Beside him, Shuri snorted, absently wondering if Peter really expected any kind other kinds of answer from the Mischief God. Peter shot her a look, and Loki smirked softly with amusement, briefly remembering the days he and Thor would often have similar exchanges. Suddenly frowning, Loki shook the thought from his head, turning back to look at the screen. They weren't covering the Avengers anymore, which meant they were likely on their way back to the tower - undoubtedly warned of Loki's presence by Stark's "Heimdall".

Getting a thought, Loki glanced back at the two teens, a soft smirk on his lips.

"How would you two feel about causing a little mischief?"
