Dear Simon,

I don't see much point in continuing these letters anymore, at this point I've bombarded you with them and I can't see you still reading them. I know you're upset about everything, but like I told you that night— there's good reason.

Right now, as I write this letter; which will probably be my last, I'm looking up at the stars in the sky. It's a clear one tonight, and I'd love to say you're looking at the same sky just somewhere else, but I knew that before moving time difference would be a major problem.

So you're probably still asleep, in the early hours of the morning while I'm seated here.

I'm sorry for not returning your calls, I've been really busy lately and doing a bit of travelling down here. I still want to keep in touch, it's just a lot harder than I thought.

But you know me, I'll always keep trying.

I also heard that you've moved on, started hanging out with Talia more— that's great for you. When I left, I was kind of worried that you would keep to your promise and wait for me; but I don't want you to waste your time.

You're smart, it was best for you to move on— besides, I'll always have a place for you in my heart.

Love, and all the best,
Daisy xoxo.

JJ hobbled feebly down the stairs, I honestly thought he'd be able to take a lot more alcohol before he started to lose himself like that.

Guess he wasn't a champ at everything.

He kept motioning for us to follow him, spewing words at random on the way down. I was worried he'd fall flat on his face and tumble down the stairs, but even if that did happen; it was JJ— he'd be fine.

When we got to the bottom of the stairs, Simon's hands left my waist and grabbed JJ's flailing hands, heaving him to the living room to the couch where he could sit.

Simon didn't stop throwing me wary glances the whole time I followed them, to make sure I was still with them and hadn't suddenly disappeared.

I was still as nervous as before, as if I hadn't told Simon anything and I was still hiding something.

I technically still was, I had to break up with him.

His eyes found mine after he seated JJ down and his hands linked with mine, pulling me close to him, almost as if he wasn't going to let me go.

"I'm not choosing my career over you Simon— I'm just chasing my dreams; like you always told me," I told him, as we turned away to leave again.
