• Chapter 1 •

Beep, Beep, Beep

A hand reached out to turn off the alarm, and failed. Then an earphone jack was plugged into the digital alarm clock, and it shut off instantly.

Jirou groaned as she realized that it was time to get ready. She was afraid she was late, too.

With that thought of her's In mind, she quickly changed into her uniform and headed out.

Before she had managed to walk out of the building, a familiar voice had called out to her.

"Aye, Jirou! Hold up a minute!" Kaminari said as he caught up to her. "Sleep in Too?"

"..uhm, yeah actually." Jirou answered to him, not very surprised that he slept in. What she was surprised about was that she herself had too.

The two silently walked, quickly tho, to the location of the classroom.

"So, uh, sleep well?" Kaminari broke the silence.

"Sure, I guess.." Jirou muttered, loud and clear enough for Kaminari to hear.

"Mmmmmk then~" Kaminari was in a fairly good mood today, and he seemed to be smiling at every single thing. Jirou noticed that and let a small smile slip.

Kaminari noticed that Jirou was staring at him for a small while now. He was confused on why, but he didn't really seem to care, because they were at the foot of the class room.

As soon as Kaminari and Jirou opened the door, there was a shout from Iida.

"You two are very late! I am ashamed!"

"Iida, bro, chill. Class doesn't start until 15 minutes.." complained Kaminari.

Jirou tried to ignore the two but they bickered for a bit. Finally Iida let up  on his strictness, and focused on something else.

Jirou  sat in silence for a while until Yaoyorozu walked in, so they started to have a chat while Todoroki sat beside Yaoyorozu.

"Hello Jirou, how are you today?" Yaoyorozu asked.

"Meh, fine I guess.." Jirou answered. Suddenly Mina got out of her seat when she noticed Jirou.

"Hey, Hey! I saw you walking with Kaminari to class~!" Mina cooed.  Jirou had felt her face turned all sorts of shades.

"It w-wasn't what you think it was!! Kaminari and I just so happened to both sleep in a bit!" She protested dramatically.

"Ohh reeeallly?~" Mina didn't let up.

"What about me?" Kaminari heard from across the room apparently.

"N-NOTHING!" Jirou waved her hand all over, you could almost say she was slapping the air too.

"Are you sure?" He asked, still wondering about why his name was called. "But nothing doesn't really answer my question of why my name was called."

"I don't need to explain myself to you.." Jirou crosses her arms and looked the other way. She still was slightly blushing.

Before Kaminari had the chance to pry the answer out of her, Mr. Aizawa rolled on in, sleeping bag and everything.

He slowly unzipped himself and got up with a sigh, standing up in front of the class. Today we will be doing some drills with compatible quirks. Bakugo, Uraraka. Midoryia, Iida. Mina, and.. Sero. Hagekure, Ojiro. Kirishima and Sato maybe. Aoyama and Mineta. Asui, Tokoyami. Todoroki and Yaoyorozu. And Shoji and Koda. Finally, Kaminari and Jirou. Those are the teams. I won't repeat it again, so I hope you were listening. Discuss your stragtegies together, because you and your teammate will go against another team. 2 vs 2." Aizawa plopped back on the floor and zipped himself in the bag.

"Class dismissed. Don't go anywhere because Present Mic is going to take over in a few minutes. Use your time wisely.." Aizawa rolled out into the hallway.

A few moments later the classroom was roaring with conversations. The first thing Jirou heard was Mina's voice beside her.

"Jirou, you were paired with Kaminari! Oh my god, Does Aizawa-sensei ship it too?!" Mina beamed.

Jirou opened and closed her mouth a few times, choked on what to say.

"I also think that you and Kaminari would make a cute couple!" Yaoyorozu teased once more.

"Yaomomo! Don't cave, please oh please don't cave!" Jirou pleaded her. Yaoyorozu giggled as she walked away to strategize with Todoroki. Mina left too.

Kaminari got out of his seat and pulled a chair up to Jirou's desk, ready to strategize and chat a bit.

"Hey Jirou, any ideas of like a.. a uh.. super combo move or somethin'?" He asked. Jirou was still a bit flustered from a second ago but, hid it decently enough for him not to notice.

"Super combo move? Out of all the things to try to think about first, a combo move?" Jirou had a tone of sarcasm in her voice.

"It's not a bad idea though! Like just in case Of were are in need of a plan B!" He explained to her.

"For a Plan B you need a Plan A first, smooth brain!" Jirou spat, making a fair point.

"Yeah, That is why you had any ideas, duh." Kaminari continued. Kaminari had just earned himself a smack to the face. "Oww- what the heck was that for?!" He whined.

"For being and idiot, that's why." Jirou groaned, "Plus you just assumed that I had come up with some sort of plan in the few moments that I had to think about it in between!"

Jirou heard giggling from some of the girls and was a bit annoyed and flustered.

"Ok geez! Then how about we start with dodge strategies? Though I still think combos will help the both of us out, the both of our quirks together should be pretty strong." Kaminari crosses his arms and laid back in the chair.

"Now you are finally using your brain of yours." Jirou smirked at pikachu, and he smirked back.

After a moment or two, Kaminari spoke, "Hey, the drill is tomorrow, right? Tonight at 7:00, could you meet me in front of the dorms?"

Jirou paused for a moment, her face blushing a faded red. "S-Sure, whatever you say.." she tried keep one steady wave of voice.

"Ok then! See you at 7 then Jirou!" He got up and placed the chair he sat on where it originally was, heading to his desk because Present Mic had walked in to teach his turn for the day.

"Oooh, did you just get asked out?!" Mina beamed as she walked back over to her seat.

"Shut up!!" Jirou's face was a solid red now.

"Ok, ok fine! I'll stop! ..for now.." she answered, mumbling at the end.

Jirou let out a sigh and started to listen was Present Mic was teaching.
