"Blah blah blah," Nebula squawked at Terrance while she mimicked his mouth with her hand. They were getting in a goofy squabble over the game we were playing.
Terrance grabbed her hand and held her fingers together while he talked. "Nebs, that was entirely your fault. A pool-ball flying across the room and hitting a guy in the head is not funny. Douglas had a right to get mad."
"I know. I know," she grumbled and crossed her arms.
"Apologize to him," Terrance said to a pouting Nebula.
Nebula shook her head vehemently and crossed her arms tighter.
"Apologize," he said again, this time sterner.
She groaned and uncrossed her arms. "Douglas, I am very sorry that I hit you in the head with a pool-ball," she apologized loudly across the room.
Douglas shook his head at her with an exasperated grimace and went into the elevator.
Nebula and Terrance resumed their bickering just in time for Millie, Hershel, and me to loose control of our laughter.
Nebula scowled at us with her blue-ish eyes. "So, Shailene, have you been assigned yet?" Nebula asked, quickly changing the subject.
My face dropped. "No. No, I haven't."
Everyone's faces scrunched with confusion.
"What could be taking Death so long?" Millie mused.
I shrugged and pulled at the hem of my sweater. "I don't know. Death says that there is something different about me, and he can't place it. That's why he can't assign me."
Terrance narrowed his eyes at me. He stared at me with concentration. When I caught him he quickly flashed his eyes away.
There was something different about me and no one knew why. Including myself.

Okay, I'm so, so, so sorry. For this short, filler chapter, which I hate, and for the time it took me to update.
I'm just having a crazy hard time with writers block and everything, but don't fret! I'm working in getting over it for the next chapter.
In the meantime, don't forget to check out my newest story, "It Has Begun." Its my entry for the Young Writers Short Story "Competition" and your votes would really help.
Also check out any of the stories in my "BFF Stories" reading list. Especially "Los Angeles." I highly recommend it. It is an adorable Nash Grier fanfic.
Sorry again for the horrible update.
