Stray Kids' POV
"Guys, wake up! I have an announcement!" Minho yelled on the top of my lungs. The others woke up and the others followed too.
"Are you our new leader?" Jeongin jokingly asked. He laughed with the others as they tease him.
He is a maknae on top, after all.
"Anyways, Minho, what's wrong that you have to wake us up at literally 5:30 am?" Chan asked the concerned looking guy.
"Well, I think you know what I'm talking about hyung." Minho scratched his nape and sighed.
"It's Jade. What about her?" Hyunjin added.
"Okay, I've been keeping this thing for the longest time and I'm just waiting for the right time to say it. Now that we debuted together and we got closer too, I guess it's time for you to know." Everybody felt confused.
"What? What do you mean, hyung?" Minho then glanced at the two people who had their heads down the whole time.
"What about Jisung and Woojin? Did they do something wrong?" Chan asked Minho. He just sighed and looked at the two again.
"Just tell it guys." Changbin stated.
"Fine." Jisung started. "Woojin and I had a past with Jade, and Minho didn't like the ending at all."
"What's the ending?" Jeongin asked the two.
"Long story short, they hurt Jade which made scars. Literally visible scars." Minho blurted out.
"What do you mean?"
●Flashback●
"Woojin, where are we going? Isn't the train station that way?" Jade called out the guy who was a few steps ahead of her.
Woojin suddenly stopped walking and looked at Jade, who was barely catching up with him. He sighed as she watches her struggle.
"Yeonjoo, come here." He called her over to sit on the sidewalk. She followed and sat beside him.
Yeonjoo is her Korean name.
"What's wrong? You seem really tired." Jade said as she watches him with worry in her eyes.
"I should be the one asking that. You are tired, Yeonjoo." She can't help but look down.
It was true. She was tired. Really tired. Of thinking, specifically.
"Why are you tired, Yeonjoo?" He asked sincerely. The way that he aske that brought tears in her eyes, threatening to fall.
"Tell me. Tell me now, please."
"I can't sleep."
"That's it?"
"I can't sleep because of you and Jisung." Woojin's eyes widened in shock. He was not expecting that at all.
"U-Us??? What did we do?!" He asked, really panicked and concerned.
"You stopped me from reaching out, and Jisung did too. You stopped me from telling the truth, and he just followed. You let sufferings divulge in, and he was just watching." Woojin was dumbfounded and guilty.
He doesn't know what to feel anymore.
"You know we didn't mean that to happen. We were young!" Woojin yelled out in frustration.
"No! We were not! We know what's right and what's wrong!"
"If we helped her, not only she will die but you too! And I don't want you to die, Yeonjoo. I willing to risk anything just for you." Woojin blurted out, making her weak and tired from speaking.
"I rather die. She had more in her life than I do." She stood up from the sidewalk and was about to walk away when suddenly Jisung appeared right in front of her.
"We rather not let you." Jisung said in a whispering tone.
"We killed her, Jisung." She said as she cries in Jisung's arms. He caressed her and hugged her slowly, calming her down.
"No we didn't. We just happen to see that. It's not our fault that we didn't get to help. We can't save everybody, Jade. Please remember that." Jisung patted her back gently and loosened the hug.
"Let's go home?" She faintly nodded.
Woojin then positioned himself for Jade to ride his back. She got up and hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go.
She can't sleep. She can't think. She's broken.
Without them, she's nothing but a suicidal young adult.
●End of Flashback●
"Wait. Who died?" Hyunjin asked the two.
"... her cousin... to cancer..." Jisung sadly said.
"Leslie." Everyone was shocked.
Leslie is Jisung's first love and close to being the last. Until the inevitable happened.
And in Woojin's case, ever since they met, he fell in love with her. Woojin can't stand seeing Jade crying and not sleeping.
And in Jade's case, she doesn't want to live. Even if love finds a way to erase all bad thoughts, according to Leslie.
