She's Working At The Pyramid Tonight

Chp 7:

After sitting out on the balcony mostly all morning with the girls just talking about everything we decided to order some Gladys Knight chicken && waffles and then come home and watch movies the remainder of the day, I had to be at my internship at 7:00 the next morning so I couldn't stay up too long. I loved interning with my patients this summer but I was glad this was my last week, I did this job for experience and the pay was okay but what paid my bills is what I do every other weekend. As much as I try to keep it low key, being a stripper is just not a low key job especially when you're good at what you do. I started taking ballet classes when I was about 3 up until I was 8 then between the remainder of elementary and high school I had accomplished cheer leading, basketball, track, softball, and dance line so one could def say I had a little background for it being so athletic and flexible. I started stripping in 2010 with my girls because although we had saved up a nice lucrative stash our senior year of high school to live in Atlanta we just needed more. I remember Truth saying that it was quick and easy money and me saying hell no, the thought of a whole bunch of random strangers looking at my body is disgusting not to mention if Teze finds out he'd kill me but once again listening to Truth ass a week later we were down at this club called Pyramids....

*Flashback*

"Y'all idk, I'm having second thoughts my mom would pass out if she found out what I was doing and daddy would kill me! 😩 " I said sitting outside of the club in my Nissan Maxima with sweaty palms && a lump in my throat "Dore, suck it up, it's just dancing && besides as small as Optimistic is I highly doubt this will get back to our parents" Truth said "Look if we're gonna do this shit we need to just do it before I change my mind" India said semi agitated "okay okay only for a little while until we all find a better job right?" "Right" Truth said "Okay, I'm down, let's go" We got out the car grabbed our bags and walked inside, there we saw this guy Big Don I'm assuming to be a bouncer ask who we were looking for Truth looked down at her phone and said Sammy Smith "come with me" he said turning and walking towards the back room we all followed suit, once he opened the door this tall dark skinned guy stood up walked around his desk and greeted us all "Aww ladies, I've been expecting you, Thank you Big Don, I'll take it from here" Big Don nodded and just like that was gone. "Ladies, have a seat" we all took a seat, the club was very nice and huge I thought it would be dark and nasty looking but to my surprise it wasn't. Sammy interrupted my train of thoughts by asking what bought us here, our ages, background, and expectations, by the time we were finished talking to him we were all laughing and I felt at ease "Look ladies, I can tell y'all are still young, and just like many of the girls here y'all just need the money, but I want y'all to know that although I'm your manager I'll play that father figure if I have to, I don't wanna see you get caught up too far in this lifestyle and remember the soul purpose of why you came to Atlanta in the first place. I've seen a lot of decent young girls such as yourself get caught up in this life style, money, drugs, and alcohol and I had to watch them self destruct, I don't want that for y'all so we'll make a deal, y'all can work here as long as I see that 1) you're making me money && 2) you're not losing yourself we all looked at each other then back at him and agreed. "Alright then, so with that being said go get dressed and let's see what you ladies got. " We got dressed went up on stage he played some music, I closed my eyes started swaying my hips, took myself outside of my body and went for what I knew, when the music stopped I heard Truth && Indy clapping "Damn girl, them ballet classes paid off" Truth said windily "yeah I guess so" slightly embarrassed for being so good my first time "Awesome job ladies, y'all are gonna be my top money makers I can just feel it, of course I'm going to need y'all to go to pole dancing lessons once a week but y'all are pretty much perfected I'm amazed this is y'all's first time." Sammy said to us, helping us off the stage. "Meet me back in my office once you get changed" when we got back in his office Sammy greeted us with another comfortable smile and a bottled water for each "Look I def like what I seen out there and I'm going to start you all off on the MMN" "MMN?" Indy asked "Aww Yesss the MMN" he sat back in his chair and intertwined his fingers across his stomach "Money Making Nights" although the club is open Thursday through Sunday we only consider Friday and Saturday the MMN, that's when we have celebs make appearances and even perform, people such as T.I. && Tiny, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Wiz Kalifa, and even Drake just to name a few have been through these doors and shut it down and ladies when they come that's when the money comes. So with that being said I'll have y'all out here every other weekend and we'll go from there. I just need y'all to fill out this paper work and bring it back in Friday night witcha. I'm going to name y'all Sammy's Angel, Jadore, your stage name will be Angel because you looked so innocent yet seductive up there, India, I'm going to name you Angelic, because that body looks so angelic spinning around that pole && my girl Truth I'm gonna name you Angelica, just cause you got that little tough pretty girl exterior. "I like that" Truth said feeling herself a little bit. Y'all will be taken care of in the best way possible so if you need anything look for me or Big Don" he said standing up && we did the same we all shook hands once again, said thank you && Big Don let us out....

After that the rest was pretty much history, something that was suppose to been temporary turned into a semi permanent job, well at least until we graduate. We met a lot of celebs there but I wasn't taking the bait, I've heard about those rappers, && if I wasn't giving it up to Teze I def wasn't gonna lose it to someone who wouldn't even remember my name the next morning if he even cared to ask for that matter. Of course I couldn't keep it from Teze && when I told him that I was doing it he flipped, he wanted me to quit saying that he could take care of me but I wanted my own money && grossing in roughly $8,000-10,000 a weekend I liked making my own money, it paid the bills && gave me some spending money. I didn't have to take out any more student loans because I could pay for my classes && made sure I sent money back home to my parents for them and my nieces. Ultimately it was a losing battle for Teze and he agreed to let me stay working there but said he would never come he'd lose it if he saw other niggas looking at me.
