Chapter 17- Cali Fun

*Brooklyn's POV*

We've been on the private jet for a while now. "I can't wait til we go to the beach! I'm gonna go surfing!" I say. Heaven gasps and says, "Oh my gosh! I totally forgot about doing that! I'm even more excited now!" We all laugh at her then the pilot says, "Please fasten your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen. We will be landing soon. Thank you."

"Ah. My favorite part." Zayn says sarcastically. I laugh then we start to land.

After a while of driving from the airport to the beach, we finally get there. "Hey, guys, we're gonna go across the street to get some boards. Do you wanna come with us?" Lyric asks the boys. They nod and go with us.

When we walk in, we get greeted by a worker. "Hi! Welcome to Surf Shop. Are you looking for anything particular?" The girl worker says. "Yes. We're all going to go surfing but just got here so we don't have anything." I explain. "Oh, cool! Okay! I'll take you over to the boards." She smiles.

She shows us everything and we pick them and pay. "I was out this morning. There's been amazing waves all day. A lot of people are saying that they keep seeing a bunch of A-Frame waves." The girl says. I smile excited. "Oh my gosh! I can't wait! I haven't been surfing in over 2 months." I say. The girl laughs a little and says, "Be careful! Have fun guys."

We leave then go across the street to the beach. "Hey, what's an A-Frame wave?" Harry asks me. "It's the perfect barreling surf, a cross-section of an A-Frame wave reveals an "A" shape where it is breaking. It's amazing." I explain. Harry just nods but I can tell that he still has no idea what I'm talking about.

I fix up my new board with some wax then go out in the water. I already got in my surf suit so I just go straight out.

By the time I'm half way out, I see the perfect wave forming. "Akaw!" I shout to the girls and swim with my board over to the wave. I get to the wave and stand up and ride the wave back out to shore. The rest of the girls rode it too. We don't care if we drop in on each other's waves. We only do it to each other though; not other surfers.

"OMG! Did you guys see that?! It was amazing!" Kat says jumping up and down. She's such a Barney. But, she's still learning.

Everyone goes out but me and Niall. "You don't wanna go out?" I ask him and he shakes his head no. "C'mon! Please! I want my best friend to go with me!" I smile. "I'm your best friend?" Niall asks shocked. I nod smiling. "Yeah! Other than the girls. I feel like I can trust you."

I really want Niall to go out in the water with me. He'll probably regret it later in life if he doesn't.

"But, what if I fall and get hurt?" Niall says trying to get out of it. "Niall... nothing bad will happen. Your strapped to your board that floats! Plus, I used to be a lifeguard so we're both fine!" I explain and he takes a step closer to the water. "I'll hold your hand." I giggle and he blushes. He laughs a little and gives me his hand and we go in the water together.

All the other people are already back at shore. I look back and see the 5SOS boys walk on the beach. Niall and I go further out and sit there waiting for a good wave.

*Niall's POV*

We just sit there waiting and then I notice the 5SOS boys. Oh god, I'm gonna get beat up... I can see it now.

"Oh shit." I hear Brooklyn mumble. "What?" I ask starting to get nervous. "Uh, nothing. Here.. let's ride out on this wave." She says. "Why that wave? It's not that big." I ask confused. "Uhh... well, let's just go on it. And, it's your first time surfing so it might be good that it's smaller." She says quickly. "Okay, go!"

Then we ride the wave to the shore. Once we get in the sand, Brooklyn says, "Oh. The reason why we rode the small wave, is cos there were sharks under us." I get wide eyes and say, "What?! Why didn't you tell me there were sharks?!"

I hear Luke laugh and mumble, "He's such a baby." Then I see Brooklyn roll her eyes. "Luke, shut up. At least he actually went out and tried to surf." Luke's face gets red and I suddenly feel better.

I try not to laugh so I look away back at the water. Then I hear Lyric say that they're gonna go to their beach house. I turn around and see Luke and Brooklyn kiss. If only I was dating her instead.

They all leave so it's just the 5SOS boys and us, 1D boys. It's turning into sunset so no one is really on the beach anymore.

Luke gags after the girls leave. "Why'd you gag?" Calum asks him. "Cos... Brooklyn and I just kissed. God, I'm so done with her." Luke explains. I can't believe what I'm hearing. "Why?" Michael asks. "You haven't noticed? Brooklyn's been starting to eat more and she's been getting a little fat." Luke says. Oh my god. That asshole.

My fists turn white from being so mad. "You... fucking asshole. Clearly you don't know her that well. Do you even know that she had problems with eating when she was younger?" I shout and the boys take a step closer to me. They pretty much know what's probably about to happen.

Luke rolls his eyes and takes a step towards me. "Okay, it doesn't matter if I don't know that she had eating problems. The only thing that matters now is that she's starting to get fat!" Luke shouts back at me. That's it.

"I can't believe you! You know what, I hope you two break up. Then she might actually be with someone who will treat her righ-" I get cut off my Luke slapping me. I slap him back then Luke tackles me to the ground. He throws the first punch then I throw the next one.

All of a sudden, everything goes black.

*Brooklyn's POV*

I walk on the beach to see Luke on top of Niall fighting. I gasp and run over to them but Niall was passed out. I start crying then Luke tries to hug me but I push him away.

"Get away from me! Y-You did that! You're a... you're a monster!" I scream crying. Then Harry and Zayn take me back to the beach house as I'm crying like crazy.

I just don't want to talk to anyone for a while.
