Chapter 22- Phone Call.

*Lyric's POV*

We've gone a full week without anyone knowing about what happened at the Daily Grind. Not even the girls or the rest of 5SOS know; especially the 1D boys. If Niall, Lou, or any of them found out... they'd just about kill Michael.

Mainly Niall and Louis. Louis and Niall have always been the ones I'm closest with other than Zayn. Zayn is a whole other story. We have a special connection. Both of us love art, have tattoos, and are great skaters. Not to brag or anything.

Getting pulled from my thoughts, I hear a loud scream coming from the front of our tour bus. Out of curiosity I walk to the front of the bus. I see a clip of the fight we had at the Daily Grind on the news. Good thing the boys are on their own bus today.

"Why didn't you or Brook tell us about this?" Heaven asks. "We weren't going to tell anyone. I was too embarrassed about it. I didn't want anyone to know." I say looking at the ground so my hair covers my face. Brook walks in and asks what's going on. Dakota tells her what's happening.

Out of nowhere, all our phones start ringing. We look at each other confused then look at our phones. "Niall." Brook says. "Harry." Heaven says confused. "Louis." I say then blush a little. "Zayn." Dakota says. "Liam!" Kat says squealing.

We give her questioning looks and she blushes. "What? It's no secret that I like him. Or that Brook likes Niall and Lyric likes Lou. I mean.. they blush every time they even look at them." Brook and I exchange faces and laugh a little. Everyone knows it's true.

Heck, Brooklyn even started liking Niall when Luke and her were still dating. She's just too scared to tell him cos she thinks that he doesn't like her.

*Brooklyn's POV*

We all go our separate ways to talk to the boys on the phone. I go back to the bunks room and press answer.

"Hello?"

"Brook! Why didn't you tell me what those assholes did?"

"Niall.. calm down. This is actually one of the reasons we didn't tell you. We knew that you and the boys would pretty much almost kill Michael."

"What about Luke? You're not even mad at him? Did you not watch the full video, Brook? God, it's a good thing we're on tour."

"What're you talking about, Niall? Luke said he was sorry about everything he did."

"Yes, babe, he did. But-"

I went blank after that. Niall called me babe. Oh my gosh. What does this mean? Does he like me? No... he can't like me. I'm not good enough for him. Just like Luke always told me. I'm only good enough for the lonely people. Niall's not lonely.

"Brook?! Hello? You there?" Niall yells into the phone.

"Uh... yeah, I'm here. Sorry. I dozed off for a second. What did you say?"

"Baby are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. But, what did you say? Something about Luke lying."

"Um.. The full video showed that you and Lyric leave. But after that.. Luke says, "Sorry I had to do that Mikey. I only did it so maybe I could have a chance back with Brooklyn." Then Mikey said, "It's okay. But I know that if you didn't stop me, I would've hit them." Michael was going to hit both of you, Brooklyn! I.. I just can't let that happen to you."

"What... no! They would... they would never hurt us! We all used to be best friends!"

"Babe.. I know but sometimes people snap. Maybe he just has a lot going on in his life right now and he's taking it out on you and Lyric. I think you should stay away from them for a while so you both don't get hurt."

"Yeah.. It's just really hard to believe what they said. You think you know someone one minute but then they're mask comes off and you finally see who they truly are. It's harder for us though."

"I know what you mean. The other day I met this girl who I thought was really into me but she wasn't. Only wanted me for my fame."

"Wait... you... you met a girl? Who is she?"

"You know that really annoying blonde girl I was with a while ago... That was her. I didn't really like her. I only wanted to be friends. All she wanted was to get in my pants and tell everyone about it."

Niall and I laugh for a minute. I hope he doesn't get a girlfriend. I'd be hands down miserable until they'd break up. And I don't even care if that sounds selfish. It's true.

"Um... I have to go. I'll see you and the guys later! Bye!"

"Bye! I love you!"

I accidentally pressed end on the call. Noo! He just said 'I love you' to me for the first time and I never said it back. This is awful!

..... He sent a wink face. He sent a wink face. What do I even say back to that?!

;) Btw... I love you too!

Oh god... I shouldn't have said that. I bet he never really said it and I'm just hearing things. It would've been okay for me to say, 'btw... I love you!' but I had to say, 'btw... I love you too.' That means also. Which would imply that he would have said it first. And if he never really said it... I'm gonna look like a dumbass.

Why is it taking him so long to respond?!
