Shadow's Nightmare (Phase 1)

Darkness...that was all Shadow saw.... He never realized what was coming to him.... But there he was.... Trapped...alone...confused...and worried.... He didn't know how long he has been out...but when he opened his eyes...he saw a white room. There was a long table with a white tablecloth over it, a big chandelier from above the table, and a huge painting on the wall. It looked fancy, like it was a dining room. He slowly walked through, amd sat on a chair at the end of the table. "Where...am I...?" He asked slowly. Suddenly, a voice appeared. It sounded dark and echoey. "...Shadow...," it said slowly. "Who's there?!" Shadow asked, feeling shocked. "I am the one that trapped you in here.... You cannot see me, nor hear me.... But I can see you...." "Well then come out!" Shadow yelled. He got up from the chair in fighting position. "Calm yourself, Shadow," the voice said. "What did you do with Cream?!" Shadow asked in anger. "There's no need to be afraid anymore," the voice said. "Here...have a seat...." It was then, Shadow's chair slowly pulled out. Shadow slowly calmed down, and sat in his chair. "Very good...," the voice said. "Now...let's see how long you last in here...." Suddenly, the lights shut off! Shadow then wanted to get up, but somehow, he was stuck in his chair! A few seconds later...a candle lit up...and in front of him was a dinner plate, covered in a lid. "I hope you're hungry, Shadow...," the voice called. Shadow was then able to move again, and so, he slowly lifted his hand, and hovered it over his dinner plate. He put his hand on the lid...and lifted it up. And suddenly...he screamed! When he lifted it up...inside...was Cream's head!!! Shadow covered his mouth as he saw Cream's eyes rolled back, and her head was cut open to reveal her brain! And he saw many bugs crawing inside Cream's head, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears! The voice suddenly laughed evilly as Shadow was breathing fast. The chandelier lights then started to flicker, and when some of them came on, he saw everyone dressed as butlers and maids! Zombified butlers and maids! Shadow screamed and tried to move, but he couldn't! Suddenly, he saw something coming from the ceiling. It sank down slowly, and landed on the table. Shadow sat wide-eyed, and saw that it was...Maria! "M-Maria...?!" Shadow asked in shock. But then, Maria's head slowly started to blow up like a balloon. It got bigger, and bigger, and then...BOOM! Her head exploded, and out came this weird milky white substance! Shadow screamed as the milk was all over his face and he stared directly at Maria's headless body. Everyone the got closer and closer to him...and then...they grabbed onto him, and Shadow shut his eyes! A second later after he shut his eyes, everything turned quiet. He slowly opened his eyes, and saw the room like it was before. He freakishly stood back up, and panted hard, holding his head. He just realized that he forgot about the voice. That was when it came back. "There's phase one," the voice said. "That was quite a scream. Well done, Shadow." "WHO ARE YOU?! COME OUT NOW!" Shadow screamed, both in fear and anger. "Easy now, Shadow," the voice said, calmly. "You're lucky this isn't real. I just want to see how scared you can be. After all...didn't you say there was no such things as ghosts?" Shadow fell on his knees slowly, and looked down at the ground. "This is a nightmare that you will never forget, Shadow," it continued. "Are you ready for phase 2?" "I rather not," Shadow said, getting up. "I figured you would say that," the voice chuckled. And suddenly, the room started to change.
