Shadow's Nightmare (Phase 3)

Shadow shut his eyes and covered his ears. He couldn't take anymore of these nightmares. He was going to have more of these for probably weeks. Not the usual, but the one's that really almost seem real. Like they might happen in some point in time. He slowly opened his eyes again, and flinched. He first thought something was going to jump out at him, but it turned out...there was nothing. He looked around. The room he was in was nothing but pitch black. He couldn't see anything. He expected the voice to say something to him, but it didn't say anything. There was nothing around him he didn't think. But he knows something's coming out. Something's gonna come out and scare him. He kept on flinching and shivering. "Hey!" He suddenly called out. "Aren't you gonna say or do something?!" There was no answer. Shadow was alone. He was not really relieved. He was actually still scared. There was no one anywhere. He felt trapped. Maybe he was out he thought. He walked around to make sure. "Sonic?! Silver?!" He called out. There was still nothing. He suddenly started to go crazy. He skated around, trying to see if there was an end to this endless room. But he couldn't see anything. And there didn't seem to be any walls. There was just darkness that spread out forever and ever. He was breathing hard and fast, and his heart started to pound in his chest. It was slow, but he hated having to listen to how loud it was. He covered his ears and closed his eyes and whispered, "Keep it together...keep it together...this isn't real...this isn't real...." Suddenly, he felt a chill up his spine. He screamed and turned back. There wasn't anybody there! His mind started to play with him now. All those scary things he saw started making him go crazy. "Something's gonna jump out! Something's gonna jump out and scare me!" He said quickly. He was really freaking out and getting himself on edge. Suddenly, he finally something. He looked down and saw bugs crawling toward him. They were big bugs, crawling up his shoes and legs. He was screaming and trying to get rid of them all as he felt their legs going up his body. As Shadow was freaking out, there was actually nothing going on in the room. He was hallucinating! He was squirming and freaking out, and then he felt something land on his head. He looked up, and saw a body hanging by a meathook like in that nightmare. He twitched and flinched as drops of blood landed on his face. He slowly stepped back, and freaked out as he saw his own body on the meathook! He screamed loudly and shut his eyes, but then...he stopped. He slowly uncovered his eyes, and grew a smile. Then...he started to chuckle. He chuckled more and more, fell to his knees, and extend his arms out. "I'M FREE! I AM FREE!" He laughed insanely. Eventually...it all stopped. Shadow's body was on the floor...motionless. He passed out. Just then, the voice came back. "Good show Shadow," it said, even though Shadow didn't listen. "I think I'll let you go now." And with that...Shadow slowly disappeared....
