The Strangest Life of a Demigod

My Ultra-crazy plan

(Pearl’s P.O.V.)

It has been nearly a week since Sadie and I have first entered the Underworld. I IM Leo every night along with Percy. Other then that, life in the Underworld was boring.

Luckily, things started to to turn around when we found an entrance to the Egyptian Underworld. We wandered in and Sadie led me to the throne room. Sitting there, was a man with blue skin, wearing a white button up shirt and khakis. By him, was a ghost of a woman. I couldn’t tell much, but she looked a lot like Sadie.

Sadie ran inside the room and yelled, “Mom! Dad!” Then she hugged the blue man. I entered slowly, walking forward towards the throne. Sadie told me that her dad had been turned into the god of the Underworld. And I knew that gods can easily get angered. So I slowly walked in. Sadie was talking to her dad, and she turned back to me. Her dad followed her gaze, saw me, and smiled?

“Hello, you must be Sadie’s friend. She has told me all about you.” The Blue Man said. “I am Sadie’s father, Julius Kane, but now, I am Osiris. Egyptian god of the Underworld.”

“Pearl Jackson.” I said. “Nice to meet you.”

“Same here.” He replied. “And no need for formalities, I was mortal for a while. Call me Julius.”

“Alright.”

We talked for a while longer, and I told him about what was happening. When I checked what time it was, I saw that it was pretty late.

“Sadie, I think we should get back to the castle. It’s pretty late and Hades might go a little crazy. Or maybe Nico.” She nodded.

We said goodbye to Julius Kane, and walked the back the same way we came.

We made it back to the castle fine. Turns out, Nico had gone to our room to get us to go eat dinner, and when he couldn’t find us, he freaked out. We told him that we had found a way to Sadie’s dad’s palace and had met him and her mom. He calmed down after that.

After dinner (McDonalds), Sadie and I were laying on our beds, talking. Well, Sadie was talking, I had zoned out.

Then, an idea popped into my head. I voiced it to Sadie and she frowned.

“Pearl, that’s crazy! Why on earth would you do that?”

“Because it’s the only way to stop this war.” I replied. “are you with me, or not?”

She sighed. “I would rather go with you, then have to explain to Nico and Hades where you are.”

I smiled. I could always count on Sadie. “Thanks.” I packed a few things into a small backpack and left a note for Nico. Hope he doesn’t freak out.

“Ready?” I asked. Sadie nodded.

We left the palace and went to Julius Kane’s realm. Sadie knew the way out, so we took that way. We ended up at Brooklyn House, and Sadie made a portal to Manhattan.

When we got there, we stopped at a nearby bathroom and I IMed Percy. He appeared in the mirror, fast asleep.

“Percy!” I yelled. He woke up so fast that he fell off his bed. A few seconds later his head popped up from behind his bed.

“Pearl?” He mumbled, still half asleep. “Why did you IM me this late at night?”

“Because I wanted to tell you what we are doing.” I told him my plan, and soon he was wide awake.

“Pearl—”

I suddenly got a major headache. And when I say major, I mean MAJOR.

“Augh!” I screamed clutching my head and falling to my knees.
