Let’s go back to where Nico asked me walk with him.

We were walking down the hallway in Hade’s palace that connected all the rooms.

“So, Sadie,” he broke the silence, which I was glad, the tortured souls are getting annoying. “How long have you known Pearl?”

“About three years, we met in 6th grade. We are both from London, that’s how we met. She was one of my friends there.” I paused and looked at him. “Why?”

He shrugged, “Just curious. Keep going.”

“When I moved to London, she came soon after. She had been adopted by a family in New York. We had gone to school together ever since.”

“Why did you move from London to New York?”

“I lived in London before I realized that I was hosting the goddess Isis. After my dad died trying to raise my mother from the dead, my uncle Amos came and took us to the twenty-first nome, or Brooklyn House.

“Then Carter and I learned how to use magic, then later we we started training other recruits.”

“What other recruits?”

“You know, Jaz, Zia, Walt.”

At the mention of Walt’s name Nico frowned. “What’s wrong with Walt?” I asked looking offended.

“Huh, oh. Nothing, I just thought of… what I had for lunch, yeah, what I had for lunch.”

“I don’t buy it.”

“What would you say if I asked you on a...a...a date?”

“I’d say yes if I didn’t have a boyfriend.”

He laughed. “I guess it was a long shot.”

“But, I have to admit, you are cute.”

He smiled. “Only my sister ever said that about me. In camp I am a reject. So I spend most of my time in the underworld.”

“Maybe you should try to make some friends.”

“Last time I talked to a girl that wasn’t Thalia or my sister she freaked out and ran to her cabin. I only talked to Annabeth and Piper. But to them, I’m like a cousin. Hazel is my half-sister.”

“Well, I think you’re cute. I don’t know what that other girl was thinking. Maybe she was an Aphrodite girl.”

“I guess.”

“You know, Walt and I have broken up. He broke up with me. Said that there just wasn’t anything left. That he didn’t feel the spark anymore. So, maybe we can have a date one day.”

“I guess. Maybe after this war is over we can.”

“Yeah, I guess we can.”

“Yeah.”

I hadn’t noticed before, but we had walked into the throne room. We talked a little more about how a perfect date would be. Nico said that the perfect date would be simply going to dinner. I agreed.

Then Leo and Pearl walked in. I immediately knew that there was something in between them. I had to find out.

Turns out, Pearl and Leo kissed! They are so going on a date together someday. Pearl told me what he thought about her. It is so romantic!

Pearl says that I sound like an Aphrodite girl. I do not!

Well, after that little chat, we grabbed onto Nico and shadow traveled to Camp Half-Blood. we dropped Leo off, then we shadow traveled to a room. There were dirty clothes everywhere and the bed was not made. The walls were blue and the sheets were also blue. Because of the mess, I figured this was a boy’s room.
