My stuff is all packed, I look at my watch to see that school had already started.

"Snap, I'm late for school, I guess I'll miss breakfast."

I said to myself as I grabbed my backpack, and looked at my duffel bag thinking about skipping school and using this time to run away. I shrugged my backpack off my shoulders, hiding it in my closet. Then I pick my other bag up, and ran out the door after grabbing the rest of the pop tarts so I wouldn't starve. I'll take this time to run away, was all I thought, as I ran deeper into the forest behind the house. After what seemed like ours of running I stopped for a break, because I was hungry, then started running again.

My legs were hurting, and I was having a hard time breathing. No I can't stop yet, I have to keep going. I need to run faster, I don't want to get caught. I won't stop, not until it gets dark. My only option is to run, and keep running until I can't run anymore. When that happens, I'll run even more, I'll run even faster.

I can barely breathe, my legs have stopped working. I need to stop, I'm hungry again. I know that I need a break, but I can't stop yet. If I can't run then I'll just walk, and if I can't walk then I'll crawl. If I can't even crawl, then I will take a break. That's when I'll eat and rest, but I will not stop until then. Then everything went black, I instantly knew that I had overworked my body, and passed out.

I woke up with a start, still dazed from sleeping. I ate some pop tarts then packed my stuff again. Standing up once again, on unsteady feet and started walking. After walking for quite some time I knew exactly where I was, I was in my training field. I call it my training field because it's so far from home that it takes lots of effort to get here, and that's after eating a proper meal.

"This place amazes me every time I come here."

I whispered softly, as I let the wind blow my hair around freely. I was finally free from that place, and I was soaring high through the sky.

FLASHBACK:

I was hiking through the woods in the middle of summer right after breakfast. After walking for what seemed like hours, I came across a large open field. It was simply breath-taking, I instantly knew this would be my haven, my safe place, the place where I could be free. I took my hair out of its ponytail, enjoying the breeze.

"If only I could be here forever, then I wouldn't be forced to have my hair up all the time by my new step mom. If I ever actually run away then I think this place would be my first stop."

I thought out loud, knowing that nobody could hear me. Then I noticed that the sun was already at its peak.

"I gotta run, if I miss lunch then I'll get in big trouble."

I realized as I put my hair back up, then I started jogging back towards the place I was supposed to call home.

:End Flashback

That's when I noticed that there was a cabin on the opposite side of the field. Somebody found this place and made it their home. Knowing this I smiled and started walking towards it.
