*note: there are a lot of imperfections in this one. I want to come back to it and rewrite it someday but please don't judge too harshly!*

The Bowers gang sat together at the Derry graveyard, drinking and smoking together. Henry leaned against a headstone, resting his head back on it and dumping the can of beer straight into his mouth. Patrick looked around the nearby headstones, leaning back against one himself. The grave read: "Avery Hockstetter" just behind his back.

Vic sighed heavily, tossing his empty can to the pile.

"I'm bored" he mumbled. "What do you assholes wanna do?"

"Exactly what we're doin'" Patrick side eyed him before lifting a cigarette to his lips. He inhaled the toxic contents deeply.

"Well, that's boring" Vic shot back before he opened his backpack. "I have a better idea"

"What?" Belch looked over at Vic and tossed his empty can onto the pile. The cans clattered together before the silence took back over. Henry eyed the two and then the backpack.

Vic pulled out an Ouija board, smirking to himself.

"Since when are you into that bullshit?" Henry rolled his eyes and returned his attention to the night sky.

"It's interesting. Anyway, it's October" Vic hugged the board and looked at the gang. "Come on, you guys too much of a pussy to play?"

"No" Henry shot a glare Vic's way.

"Then get your ass over here so we can play" Vic smirked and pulled out the planchette from his backpack. Henry rolled his eyes and shifted over to get closer to the guys. Patrick turned but stayed in front of his little brother's grave.

Vic set the board on the ground in the middle of their makeshift circle. He set the planchette directly in the middle then looked around at the others. They all rested their index and middle fingers on the smooth piece.

"Ain't there rules for this?" Belch asked, looking directly at Vic. Vic shrugged.

"I read up on it a bit. I guess we're supposed to say some weird beginning thing. Like a prayer or welcome" Vic looked around. Patrick rolled his eyes and Henry did moments after.

"Not saying a damn prayer" Henry glared at Vic. Vic sighed.

"Then a welcome is fine. Ummm... If any spirits are here tonight and wish to speak with us, we offer this board for you to do just that" Vic looked a little hopeful. Belch seemed curious. Henry and Patrick already looked done before it even started.

The planchette didn't move.

"Wow, what bullshit" Patrick muttered. Vic hit him with his free hand.

"Give them a minute," Vic told him. "If someone's there, can you spell out your name?"

The planchette started to move. It slowly moved to the letter A. Each member of the gang thought it was someone else moving it but stayed silent. Once it left A and headed for V, Henry slowly eyed the rest of the group. He knew where this was going. It left the V and headed for E.

"If one of you are doing this, I really advise you stop now" Henry glanced at Patrick and then at Vic and Belch.

"I'm not" Belch told them sincerely as he watched the planchette move to R.

"I'm honestly not either" Vic spoke genuinely. Finally, the planchette ended on Y. Patrick stared at the board silently, his jaw slightly clenched.

"You guys are fuckin' stupid" Patrick glared at them. He went to pull his hand away but Vic quickly grabbed his arm before he could.

"You're not supposed to take your hand off until you're done. I heard a lot of bad shit could happen" Vic told him.
