A week later, we're walking up to the school. Blake is onto the last book of the series, I'll need to get a job or something, to keep providing her with books.

Although she seems uncaring, I can see her ears twitching nervously. Dressed in black and white, she's the perfect image of 'calm and collected'. I also think she looks cute for a panda, but that comment will surely get me kicked in the balls.

On our way to the main hall, I catch sight of a small girl dressed in red and black, being shouted at by another, dressed in the purest white. She'd be cute, if she wasn't so bossy.

"A Schnee, huh?" I mumble out loud as Blake bends to pick up a small vial with dust inside. She walks toward the others and I admire how she diffuses the situation while accusing the lady in white's family of being the assholes we know they are.

I bite back the urge to kiss her.

The Schnee puts up her nose in the air and leaves, followed by her two servants.

Back at the square, Blake keeps on walking forward, clearly uninterested in talking to the tiny girl.

I sigh and shrug. I pet the little girl on the head "Nice meeting you, Ruby." She looks much too startled at me speaking to her, to actually answer. I chuckle and run to catch up with Blake. Curiously, she appears to be mad.

"What?" I ask

"Nothing."

Oh boy... I'm in trouble. I wish knew why.

Ruby is a blast. A little too hyper, though.

Her sister Yang confuses me. She's friendly enough, but at times I think she's either flirting with me or being sarcastic about my looks. I should move carefully around her. I don't want a repeat of yesterday with Blake who, for some obscure reason, got mad at me for talking to Ruby.

Although, I must say that I wouldn't mind a one-on-one in the ring with the blonde, she looks capable.

Our first 'mission' is to retrieve some sort of relic from the forest below us, and we're supposed to team-up with whoever we set eyes on first. Blake and I share a look, no way we're letting ourselves be paired with anyone else.

We're launched through the air to land however we can. I can see my Angel use her weapon to latch onto a branch from the huge trees below us, and user her speed to land while running. "Show off!" I shout in her direction and hear her laughter.

Unlike her, I simply let myself fall to the ground, and at the last moment, transform into a dark mist. I walk right out of it as if nothing had happened.

As I said before, I'm special. I don't have an aura or a semblance like the others, simply because I don't have a soul.... Because I'm a grimm. One of the first.

Unlike my sister, I don't hate humanity. In fact, I believe that we can co-exist. Being here is me trying to prove it.

I can feel other grimm in the forest, but they won't bother me. What I'm worried is finding Blake. I concentrate my senses and hear the sounds of battle. Knowing my little black kitten, I'm sure that's her. I dash toward the sound and arrive to a clearing in time to see Yang fighting two Ursa. She dices one after getting mad, but the other waits until he's behind her, and attacks. Only to be stopped and felled by Blake.

"Nice!" I say, and they both turn to me. Then they share a look.

"Now what do we do?" Yang asks, "we were supposed to team-up with whomever we saw first."

"And we both looked at him" Blake continues, frowning.

They turn to look back at me, and I shrug.

"Let's work in a trio. We can talk it out after we get out of the forest."

Blake nods and Yang shrugs "fine by me."

We walk away together.

"Sooo..." Yang starts after a while of walking  in silence "are you guys related?"

"No." Blake's voice is mostly neutral. It's the same tone she uses with me when she doesn't want to talk about something.

"Are you together, then?"

"Together?" Blake blinks owlishly.

"You know, together together."

My Angel blushes and I snicker.

"We've been friends for a long, long time" I intervene, I really don't want to hear Blake say that we're nothing "right, Bella?"

Blake looks up at me blushing, then nods.

"Bella?" Yang asks, looking confused "I though your name was Blake."

"It is" my Angel answers "he's the only one that calls me that."

Yang smiles wickedly and hangs from by arm "so, will I get a nickname like that once we're on the same team?"

I try not to blush at having her warm assets pressed against my skin. Blake growls low, startling herself and me. I turn to her, but she won't meet my eye. She seems lost in thought.

Yang doesn't seem to have heard a thing.

I settle for a compromise "we'll see".
