A/N Sorry this chapter is kind of boring, it's a filler. But it gets better I promise!
Josie's POV
"Josh. This is crazy; you can't be in love with Femi after meeting her today."
"No, no, no. I think I love Piper."
Well Josh, if you love Piper, then why did you reject her?
"Then you're going to have to make it up to her." I said. Before I even finished my sentence, Josh was up and already heading out my door.
"Don't worry, I'm going to fix this!" He called over his shoulder.
I sighed and lay back down on my bed. Not one second later, Harry comes barging back into my room. He must be mad at me, I did just lock him out of my room to talk to Josh I thought. I didn't look at him when I felt the bed shift beside me.
"Josie." Harry said softly. When I didn't reply he playfully nudged me. This was all it took for me to crack.
"What," I said giggling.
"Femi left."
I shot up like an arrow. Femi left? What did that mean?
"What do you mean she left? Is she coming back?" I asked looking straight at Harry now.
"Well...I don't know, her exact words were, 'Tell Josie I'm sorry for leaving on short notice but that I have duties to get back to.'" He said avoiding my watchful gaze.
"Is there something else?" I pestered.
"She said she didn't want to be trouble...for Piper and Josh."
I groaned, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. Josie wouldn't leave me for her duties as part of the Egyptian Royal Family. She left me because she overheard me and Josh talking probably. I held in another groan as I thought about how selfless and caring she always was.
"Don't worry," Harry says wrapping his arms around me. "You'll see her again soon." I snuggle into the crook of his neck, his warmth radiating onto me. My sympathy for Femi was suddenly overtaken by the sudden butterflies in my stomach from my close proximity with Harry.
It feels so right, to have him this close to me...but we're just friends. That's all he'll ever think of me anyways.
I look up sadly to meet his green eyes. But they're not there, his eyes are closed and he's leaning closer and closer to me. My eyes widen in shock before I start leaning in too. Maybe this was it...maybe we were more than friends?
No!
Harry is a player, these things he does mean nothing to him. He just wants a fling.
I can't let this happen. I'm not going to let Harry play doll with me, even if he is my best friend.
"I'm going to go for a walk," I say pulling away roughly. I wait for Harry's response, but all he does is stare at me. I let out a quiet sigh and leave the room.
The others are sitting around and so I leave unnoticed, grabbing a oversized hoodie and walking out onto the busy streets of the busy Egyptian town. The streets were empty and quiet, leaving me to my thoughts. After wandering around a bit, I decide that maybe I'll check out that little bakery...
Suddenly, my phone starts ringing.
"Hello?" I answer in a dull tone without checking the caller ID.
"Josie! It's Paul." He said sounding annoyed.
"What is it now?" I whine onto the phone.
"You know you can't dress like that in public! You should know by now to wear a dress or something, your mother will kill me once she sees this picture!" He says. Wow, Paul, the fashionista.
