C H 18 : It?

** Third Person's P.O.V **

After eating brunch. Nightmare decided to take Cross out somewhere today. He really felt like he should take him out somewhere. Where they could be alone together. Like what couples do. He just wanted to know him more. Cross decided to wear something simple to their little ‘date’. He has chosen a simple light gray sweater, dark gray pants and black shoes.

He looked like an ombré of white to black. It was simple. Nightmare chosen dark blue jacket, light blue jeans, and some light blue shoes. To not terrify anybody on the way. He decided to be in his passive form. Cross thought it was cute. Cross couldn't stop pinching his bony cheeks.

“Stop that.” Nightmare warned. “Sorry, I can't help it. You're so cuteeeeeeee.” Cross slightly blushed, dying from his cuteness. Although Nightmare is in his passive form, He's still taller than Cross. Cross is short and smol. It makes him look cute.

“Whatever.”

Nightmare took him out in the woods. Walking around, enjoying the scenery even when it's dead and gloomy. They were used to it. They reached a clearing. This time, it was more green and colorful. They guessed that this was Dream's part of the AU.

There was so much plant life. A lot of animals. One of the animals approached Cross, they gave him an acorn. Cross squealed lightly, that was really cute. He bent down, sitting cross - legged on the ground. He interacted with the animals. Playing with them and etc. Nightmare watched from a far. Leaning on a tree, watching Cross interacting with them.

It was really cute and adorable. The author mentioned cute so many times, the author is getting tired of it. Nonetheless, she still has to finish this chapter or her readers will kill her. The author is sorry for breaking the fourth wall.

It was getting late. But Nightmare wanted to show him something before going. He led Cross to a path that no one has been to. It was a steep path but the result after is amazing. It was deep in the woods, tree after tree, trees were everywhere. There was barely any plants except for grass.

Nightmare kept going until he found a certain ribbon that he tied years ago. He found this place when his anger was too much. He needed go find a place to calm down and this was the place he found to calm down. It was like a secret garden.

Cross awed in amazement. It was a waterfall, various plants and trees we're scattered around to form a beautiful scene. There were vines on the trees, various plant life surrounded the area, the moon lit on the perfect angle, reflecting off the water, he could hear the sweet lullaby of birds, lulling their children to sleep. He heard the silence that fills the scenery, the stars glistened brightly. He could see the white, pastel splotches of colors on the sky which they called the Milky Way. It was a beautiful view.

As Cross awed in amazement. Nightmare was staring at him the whole time. He admired his features under the moon's light. It was like finding an angel. “This is so beautiful.” Cross said, it was absolutely breath taking as well.

“Yeah, just like you.”

In all of the times like this, Nightmare cannot keep his mouth shut for once. Cross blushed upon hearing those words coming from his mouth. Yet it was undeniable. Blushing under the moon's light made it impossible to stare. His beauty was impossible to resist. He's irresistible. No one can take their eyes off this beautiful creature. (A/n: I'm starting rethink the words that I just typed into this chapter.¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

“Look at me for a sec.”

Cross did what he was told. He didn't expect anything. There, Nightmare was holding some  flowers. A rose crown to be exact. “I will put this rose back to where ever it was in 5 seconds without teleporting. If I win, you kiss my cheek.” Nightmare suggested. Keeping a smile. Cross was confused at first but agreed anyways. He expected Nightmare to put on the ground but what he did next was even more unexpected.

He placed it on Cross head. Cross was shocked, he didn't expect that. “Kiss me on the cheek.” Cross still didn't expect it, he was still shocked. But he leaned in to kiss his cheek. Nightmare's head has turned sideways, so that Cross could kiss his cheek.

But that didn't happen. Cross felt something soft. He was guessing that it was cheek, he pulled away but his head was pushed back. It's not until he realized that they...

Kissed..

Cross pulled away from shock.

“NIGHTMARE YOU JERK!!”
