** Third Person's P.O.V **It took weeks for Ink to get used to Nightmare's castle. It was always dark and gloomy. He couldn't even have the time to memorize the confusing maze called hallways due to the fact that Error kept him comfort in his room. HIS room. No one wanted to share a room with Error until Ink came. They don't even know what Ink is doing there.
Ink comes out sometimes, he just wanted company. Only Cross was the best comapanion for everything Ink has in mind. He still didn't trust Nightmare, thinking he'd betray them in the end. However, Cross thought the other way, he trusted Nightmare. Whatever he did, he just let it slip, thinking it was the best.
And it was true.
Nightmare has changed a lot, he yelled less, he was beginning to get more...
Softer.
His servants were curious, what did a skeleton do to change his mind? To change his behavior, to change the way he communicates, to change the way he acts. What did he do? The answer is very simple.
Love.
Nothing can destroy the power of love although love is the one hurting people, it can be a good thing.
Dream hasn't returned, Nightmare thought that he was long gone, he had nothing to do about his whereabouts even when he was the one who planned all of this mess. Dream just saved them and disappeared all of a sudden, it looks so new that Ink would never get used to it.
Ink sighed, finishing the 43rd book he had read past this couple months. All he did was walk to the library and read. He read a lot of fiction genre kind of books. He liked those, he also liked reading books that has hand written poems. It was his favorite.
He got up, finding another book to read. There was so many catchy titles, he didn't know which to read. He took the most interesting ones and placed it on the table. He opened one of them, with the title...
“Rhea: Message Vol. 1”
A very simple title, yet he was drawn to it. What could it possibly be? The book cover is beautiful. The genre was fiction, so it was his taste. He started reading and he was already into it. Ignoring everything around him.
—I remember that I slipped into the cave's deep caverns with a glowing flower on my right hand and a pen on the other. I walked to the spot where I drew almost everything I think of the most. As I reached the spot, I dropped the glowing flower carelessly as I glanced upon the wall infront of me. It was filled with all my ideas, ideas that I couldn't share.
The wall was overflowing with drawings, doodles, messages, words, phrases, scribbles, and even gibberish. Top from bottom, you can see slight spaces for you to write on. I giggled to myself, this was the only place I feel comfortable, this is my comfort zone.
In an empty space, I filled it the ideas I had thought of earlier this morning. It was nothing good, seemingly as if anyone would read this or find it. No one follows me here. No one—
Something from the table Ink was sitting at was shuffling in front of him. He could hear it in a vicinity, but he could see it in front of him. Is he hallucinating? Was this part of the Book? He doesn't know.
“Ink! I found you!”
“Shhh! You're in a library! Inside voices!”
“okayyyy.”
“What do you want Cross?” Ink asks, his reading session, interrupted. “Sorry, Nightmare is asking of you.” Cross replied, what a formal way to say it. “NO WAY, HE AIN'T GETTING A PIECE OF ME.” Ink whisper-yelled. “No! I didn't mean it like that, he just wants to see you!” Cross whisper-yelled back, failing miserably, voice cracking every time.
“Why don't he just say that to my face?” Ink asks, “He just wants me to escort you there.” Cross replied, cheerfully. “So, he made you as his personal servant? Could've known better.” Ink spat, not wanting to be in this. “Used to be, but come on! He's getting impatient!” Cross grabs Ink's arm and drags him out of the library and into a secret part of the castle that Ink doesn't know about.
He was just there so that Nightmare can prove.
