It was a dark and stormy night. Three figures completely shrouded in black made their way through the twisted roots and unforgivable briars of the forest. Often, the thorns clung to them, as if they were hands that wanted to keep them captive, Only succeeding in hindering their progress. But being cut by the branches wasn't what scared them the most. That fear was directed at the thing that was pursuing them.

Far behind the trio, A group of lights was following them. Those lights belong to lanterns and those belonged to a group of men with guns. Every single firearm was loaded with silver bullets - the only thing that could actually destroy their quarry. Though their prey moved a lot faster than they did, the hunters had patience on their side. Very soon, they would lose whatever energy they had left and then they would be shot dead.

The shadowy figures also had figured this out very quickly. After almost an hour had passed since the chase had begun, The female of the group collapsed from exhaustion. Her breathing was heavy, as if each breath she took would actually hurt her non-beating heart. The larger of the two males, who seemed to be the leader of the group, helped her to her feet. "What is wrong with you?" He scolded her. "They're right behind us. Do you actually want to get yourself killed?!"

She lowered her hood. The woman was quite lovely with porcelain skin, purple eyes that were deeply shadowed, and hair around the same color as dark sandalwood. There were scars on her eye and cheek and a piercing on her left brow. She opened her mouth to speak, revealing prominent fangs. She is a vampire! "What's the point, brother?" She said as tears started to form in her eyes. "They'll just catch us."

The leader, who is apparently the woman's brother, started shaking her, hoping that some amount of sense would return. When that proved ineffective, he also removed his hood. He had the same porcelain skin and violet eyes, but his hair was blue and held in a ponytail by a white bow.

"Why must you be so hopeless, Abigail?"

"I'm just stating what's obviously going to happen."

He scoffed at his sister's ignorance. "We are not going to get caught. I can see the future, you know. I never saw the three of us getting caught by those heathens." Nothing was unknown to this man's sight. He knew the hunters were after them Long before their home was invaded. He was playing his violin when a vision came to him of their chateau in flames. He immediately knew who was responsible and took his sister and their servant along with him to make sure they escaped before they were killed. The escape was necessary for the survival of their species.

As Abigail and her brother continued to bicker, The third member of their party alerted them to approaching lights. He had platinum blonde hair and violet eyes that looked more dead than the other two. Out of all of them, he looked the most like a corpse. His lack of fangs easily confirmed that he wasn't a vampire like his companions.
"We... have... company..." he said slowly.

Abigail turned towards their leader. "Malus, what do we do now?"

It seemed to Malus that there was nothing that could be done... except for one thing.

"We'll have to flee the country!"

"What?!"

"We have to go somewhere else."

His younger sister groaned at the idea. "They have family members all over the European continent."

"Then we're going to have to leave Europe."

The other members of the group gasped at this. Both of them already knew that vampires could teleport, but only to places they know the layout of. Abigail had never left Europe, but her brother had. When he was still learning how to teleport, Malus had gone to Japan by mistake.

"I found another family of vampires there. You, me, and Clairvious should be safe there for a while... possibly."

"Possibly?!"

"The vampiric family that lives there might hold a grudge against our family..."

"You think living with them is a good idea?!"

"We don't have a choice anymore. Both of you take my hands."

The female vampire and their servant grasped his hands firmly and they were instantly transported to a mansion in the middle of a different woods.

"Remember," said Malus, "Let me do most of the talking. These guys don't take too kindly to uninvited guests."

Hey, my dreamers. This fanfic was partially based off of Castlevania, but I changed a lot from that. In this fanfic, Malus is Alucard's son and not an incarnation of Dracula. The Belmonts are rivals with the Van Helsings. Alucard and Dracula are the same person and he faked his death multiple times in order to avoid suspicion of being a vampire. Malus is the oldest of the bunch; he's either nineteen or twenty in appearance. That's pretty much it.

The picture up top is the only picture I could find that resembled Abigail in appearance. Just imagine scars on her right eye and left cheek and an eyebrow piercing.

Until next time, this is Aislynn, Queen of Dreams.
