Abigail's sleep that night wasn't pleasant in the slightest. She had the nightmare again and it still terrified her. The obsidian serpent with eyes redder than flame reared it's head, balancing itself as it poised to strike. Over and over, the vampire tried using her strength to break free from the shackles keeping her in place, but her efforts were futile. She thought it would be the end of her but as she shut her eyes, she thought she heard something. A whisper so close to her ear that it made her shiver...

"Lilith...."

Abigail awoke in a cold sweat. She didn't even know if it was possible for vampires to sweat before this moment, but here she was. Choosing to ignore how she was feeling, she dressed herself and headed to breakfast. She stared at her food, trying her best not to look at what was around her.

Ruki relayed to Abigail and Yui that the two of them would be staying at the mansion while three of the brothers went to school. One of them would stay behind to watch their two houseguests to make sure they didn't try to escape and go back to the Sakamaki's. On this particular day, it was the turn of Azusa to watch the girls.

Once Abigail had finished with her food, she retreated to her private chambers. Grabbing a hair brush, she couldn't get the look that the scarred vampire had given her from across the table. Something in his gaze ran shivers down her spine, despite the fact that she couldn't feel cold. Perhaps the reason she was so quick to be alone was because, maybe, she was afraid of him to some degree.

Her hair-brushing was interrupted by a knock at her bedroom door. Swiftly, the brunette female got up from her seated position, approaching the door with caution. A strong feeling in her gut told her she knew who was on the other side of that door. It was confirmed as the scarred face of Azusa appeared.

"Hi... Abigail-san," he slowly said to her. The fact that he seemed to draw out his words like that made her very uncomfortable, though she would never say that to his face.

"Can I help you with something?" She coldly responded, her scarred brow raised in annoyance. She was tempted to say the word Kidnapper, but that seemed a tad harsh.

"I want you... to come and see... something."

The red flags were going off in Abigail's mind. She took note of them, but decided to humor Azusa. Afterall, she could handle herself if things got rough; she knew a thousand different ways to take care of a vampire.

The two were mostly silent as they moved through the halls, it only being broken when Azusa asked Abigail the question, "Do they... have names?"

The brunette was caught off guard by this question. She raised the eyebrow with the scar running through it. "Yup. They're all called Abigail... like the rest of me. I got most of them from hunting. They're like my trophies." She pointed to the scar running down her eye. "One particularly troublesome target almost took my eye out. Why do you ask if they have names? Do yours?"

"Yes... actually." Carefully peeling the bandages off his right forearm, Azusa revealed three large, gnarly looking scars surrounded by several smaller ones. The brunette felt some bile rush up her throat at the sight of them. The youngest Mukami pointed to each one with a wry smile on his face. "These three... are Justin, Melissa, and Christina."

"Those are lovely names," Abigail admitted, despite herself. They looked like they came from some pretty deep wounds that probably required stitches... but she wouldn't admit that to him out loud. The two of them eventually came to a stop at a door, when that she assumed led into Azusa's bedroom. The assumption was quickly proven to be correct.

On the wall opposite the door, there was a large collection of knives kept in a case. Each one was more beautiful and ornate looking than the next. Azusa's smile never wavered as he stated that these were his most beloved treasures. Though the vampiric female herself thought they were quite beautiful, she was on guard. Her mind kept flicking back to the "punishment" Ruki gave her on her first day in the mansion.

"Abigail-san... do you... love me?" The question peeked her interest. It seemed to come out of the blue. Honestly, she didn't know how to respond. Did she love Azusa? Not exactly. Him and his brothers did kidnap her, after all. At the same time, though, none of them had really given the brunette a reason to hate them. Ruki, of course, was the one exception. He was going to be on her hate list forever.

"Why would you ask that?" Abigail questioned, biting her lip a tiny bit while trying to be mindful of her fangs.

"Could you... hit me?" Once again, another question that she wasn't comfortable answering, this one even more so than the first one. After a few stunned seconds, Abigail shook her head at him with a confused expression.

"Why would I hit you, Azusa?"

The heavily scarred male became downcast at that response. "Okay.... I understand if... you hate me."

"I never said I hated you!" Abigail shouted at him, her eyes flashing red for a brief instant, but she managed to keep her anger mostly in check. "Trust me, you would know if I hated you. You see how my eyes briefly changed color? If I hated you, they wouldn't flicker if I'm mad at you. They would stay red... and you'd also be close to deaths door." She wasn't proud to admit it, but she knew that she had to.

A fluctuation of emotions and thoughts suddenly hit Abigail all at once. Pain, suffering, but also happiness and longing. Hurt me more. Hurt me more. Give me a reason to live. That was it for her. Before the teal haired boy could utter another word, she rushed up to him, wrapping her arms around him in a tight embrace.

"What are... you...?" he questioned, confused by her actions.

"Hugging you," Abigail stated, firmly, feeling tears coming to her eyes. "You looked like you needed it. Has... no one ever given you a hug before?"

Silence.

"Not even any of your brothers?"

Silence again. The tears finally fell from her eyes onto his shoulders. "I'm so sorry, Azusa. You're probably really confused by all of this, but just know that you are more than just someone people can take out their frustrations on. Your brothers - the people who love you unconditionally - they're your reason for living."

Letting go for a brief period, pale hands reached behind her dainty neck, careful removing her choker.

"Why...?"

"You need blood, don't you?" Abigail was very curt with the question, but there was a kind of compassion resting in her eyes. "I'm just making it so that you have any easier time getting to it. I trust that you won't take too much." The choker fell from her hand as she embraced him again, running her fingers through his uneven hair. She felt a section of her long hair shift, Azusa's arms wrapping around her... and then the sharp prick of his fangs entering the flesh of her neck.

The female moaned. She couldn't help herself. To a vampire of any kind, having another drink your blood is beyond euphoric. So different was this from when Ruki bit her because the feeling was less forced. This felt... more like it went both ways.

Abigail knew her blood was good. Reiji had told her when he tasted it that as a Nosferatu, her blood had a supernatural quality when it came to its sweetness. Other vampires were known to kill each other for just one taste. Azusa gushed about the flavor, but she genuinely hoped that it wasn't better than Yui's. Surely, her blood wasn't tastier than that of a fully awakened sacrificial bride. Not like she would hold it over the human girl's head if it was, though. She just... well, she didn't know what to think.

Picking up her choker, Abigail smiled one last time and returned to her chambers. She collapsed on her bed, staring at her pale as snow hands and her claw like nails. "Oh, Clary," she said aloud, even though she knew for a fact that her servant couldn't hear her. "Do you think what they're saying is true? Do you think I might be this 'Eve' they're talking about?"

A/N: Hey, my dreamers! I'm back to writing more for this story after an incredibly long hiatus. Probably weren't expecting Abigail to act like this with one of the Mukami brother's, huh. The reason I decided to handle this chapter this way is because Azusa is already so messed up when it comes to his ideas of love and how people express it that I thought he definitely required a more delicate approach. And yes, she let Azusa drink her blood because she thought it would help him. Trust me, she will be more forceful with Kou, Yuma, and especially Ruki cause she hates him.

Also, what do you think is going on with Abigail's dreams with the snake and Lilith and all that?
