Song: Kindan no 666 from Diabolik Lovers More Blood
Abigail rolled her eyes at the sight that her eyes were forced to behold. Cramped together in the limousine were her, the Sakamaki's, Yui, and her faithful servant. Just another ordinary ride to school, or at least it should have been. The brothers - mostly Ayato - were asking the sacrificial bride if she could hand over some her blood, which should not have come as a surprise to her anymore. From where she was seated, the female vampire could sense the fear coming from the human girl and... it was starting to affect her in a way that she didn't like. Why did she have to get a new power like this?
About a month had passed since the event that Abigail liked to call the Awakening Incident, and things had seemingly gone back to the way they had been before. Yui seeming to possess the desire to drink blood was merely a one-off kind of thing, as it had seemingly disappeared a few days afterwards. However, there were still some things that had changed that night - some for the better, while others definitely for the worse.
When they returned to school for the first time after the Awakening Incident, the dark-haired female had seen a sight that she found quite peculiar: Clairvious holding hands with a girl that she had never seen before in her life. Then again, Abigail had to remember that her ex was in the year above her and the possibility existed that this girl was in the same year as him. With her pink hair and matching eyes, it's no wonder that he would end up with someone like her. Something about her seemed off, though, and Abigail may have felt the tiniest bit jealous.
If things weren't bad enough, the former huntress also had her new power to deal with. That echoing pain that she felt in her chest had initially come from the sacrificial bride on that night and was supposed to have vanished. However, Abigail's emotions were now all over the place whenever she was around other people and it was driving her crazy. According to Malus, though, some of the female's powers were still dormant and might emerge at random times. One of those dormant powers - unfortunately for her - was empathy. To put it in lamer terms, Abigail is now an empath.
As if hearing the thoughts of other people was bad enough, but the purple-eyed female now has to deal with the emotions of others affecting her as well. Emotions can be very volatile, especially in teenagers. They're going through a phase where their hormones are kicked into overdrive and as a result, their emotional state can go from zero to one hundred in a matter of seconds. For an empath like Abigail, that can damaging, especially through prolonged exposure. But the fraction of this new intuitive power that she hates more than the others... is the part that emerges whenever a certain pervert is around.
Laito Sakamaki being around Abigail and... EXISTING was enough to send her emotions into high gear now. Sharing a dance with him made her feel about herself, but in regards to him, she didn't exactly know if that meant she liked him now. The power of empathy - being the trickster that it is - wanted to make things even harder for the female vampire by messing with her constantly.
Whenever they were surrounded by a sea of people, Abigail would end up feeling the emotions of those around her, causing her to say things to Laito that she didn't mean to say... but that doesn't mean that the problem disappeared when they were alone. Within seconds, the girl would become just as flirty with the ginger-haired vampire as he was being with her. Against her will, sweet nothings would gush out of her mouth like a fountain. All of it worked to complicate things even more for her to the point where she couldn't tell if what she felt for him was true.
So there Abigail sat, trying to the best of her ability to control this strange new power of hers. The emotions of Yui and the brothers pounded on her with a stick, trying just as hard to get her to crack... but she refused. The former huntress was a stone fortress seemingly impenetrable from the outside. Not a single crack would show itself in the heavily fortified walls. However, one single word spoken by a rich, smooth voice was enough to make her lose her composure entirely.
