"I'm tired of watching this show bruh! Why you got me watching this emotional shit!" My best friend Daina snapped.

We were having girls night like we do every Friday night since she doesn't have to work that day. We were changed in our pajamas and cuddled up on the carpet watching Grey's Anatomy. I always wanted to be a nurse or something in the medical field but my boyfriend insisted that I let him take care of me.

My name is Heather and Braden was my boyfriend of three years. We were high school sweethearts and everyone called us goals. Every girl wanted to be with Braden because of his silky black hair, thick beard and lyrics. He liked to rap and he spent almost everyday in the studio. If he wasn't in the studio then he was in the trap. It's rare that he was ever home with me. These girls didn't know Braden like I knew him. They look at him and see a money bag, or an escape out of Detroit. I see a husband and soulmate.

He was sweet to me and he did take care of me. Braden keeps me in the freshest clothes and makes sure I get any and everything I want. He calls me his prize. He said I was the kind of girl every nigga wanted; long hair, thick thighs and a natural face pretty face. I guess that's what every guy wants? Daina and our other best friend Rocky tolerate Braden, but they don't think he's the right one for me. I don't care what anyone thinks about my relationship because they're not in it and they don't know Braden like I do!

"Well what do you want to watch then? I thought you'd like this show because you like romance and side chick drama." I joked getting up from the carpet.

Braden and I just moved into this house together. It was big, and I still questioned how he was able to afford this place. He didn't like when I question him so I learned to just go with the flow. The house was gated and had a nice ground pool in the backyard. Something you see in the white people neighborhood. Nothing like the projects where we're use to.

I grabbed the empty bowl of popcorn and walked into the kitchen. "Yeah I do! What I don't like is watching people cry and die. It makes me feel like a bitch." Daina said following me. She hopped up onto the kitchen island and we both laughed.

"You want more pop corn or something else?" I asked her. I sat the bowl on the counter and opened the fridge door. It was empty. I told Braden to go food shopping earlier because he had his friend's over and they ate up all of our food.

"Ain't shit else to eat? How about I order food. You want a seafood platter?" She asked unlocking her iphone Xs.

I groaned, "Yes! You know I can't say no to no crab legs!" Seafood was my favorite. Now she was speaking my lango.

The alarm peeped as the front door opened and I knew it was Braden. I looked over to the clock on the stove that read 2:27am, and rolled my eyes.

"I ain't even going to say nothing..."Daina said and she shook her head.

I ignored her smart comment and walked to go great my hard headed ass boyfriend. He looked like he was trying to sneak in because he was supposed to be home earlier. And I know damn well he isn't just coming from the market.

"Braden..." I said tiredly. I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms at him.

He did his usual smirk, exposing his gold grill and came over to me with open arms. I pushed him away and rolled my eyes. He sucks his teeth. "You always got an attitude. What you mad bout today ma?"

"You know what time it is!?" I snapped in frustration. He does this crap all the time! Coming home late, and trying to act like he doesn't know why I'm mad.

"Time for you to get ya ass in the bed and wait for me to get out the shower." He said kissing my forehead and heading into the kitchen.

He smelled like a bag of weed and I couldn't stand it. "I asked you to go and get food for the house and you can't even do that! Then I asked you to stop coming home to me late and you can't even do that! I'm sick of it!" I cried following after him.
