"Ngh..." my head hurt pretty bad.

I glanced around in confusion as I sat up on the bed I was lying on. Wherever I was, it wasn't familiar and I couldn't remember how I got here. But all this has been explained already, right?

"What does that even mean...?" I mumbled.

"You're awake," a male voice said.

I looked over to the left of me to see that there was a man sitting on a window seat. He had long blonde hair pulled up into a ponytail and was wearing a red flannel. He didn't seem very enthused to be here.

"Who are you? And...where am I?"

"My name's Matthieu," he replied. "My friend found you passed out on his way home, so he brought you here. Do you remember what happened to you?"

"Not at all," I shook my head. "Thank you very much for helping me."

"It's no big deal," he glanced away from me. "You can thank Oliver when he gets back from the store. He's the one who actually helped you."

"Okay then," I nodded.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"Oh! I'm sorry for not saying so earlier...but I'm afraid I can't remember it. I can't remember anything..."

"I'm sure it will come back to you," he seemed oddly calm. "Don't worry too much. I'm sure if you just think on it, that will help."

"Yes, you're probably right," I nodded with a smile.

He sighed, standing up. "Are you hungry or anything?"

"Ah, yes, I am," I stood up to follow after him.

We went down the hall into what looked to be the living room. There was someone lying on the couch, assumably watching a baseball game that was on the tv. Before I could even think about what I was doing, I walked right up to the back of the couch, peering over to see who it was. He had dark brown messy hair and his red eyes were rather intriguing.

"Huh?" the man was clearly surprised.

"What are you doing over there?" I turned back to see Matt was talking to me from in the kitchen.

Maybe he hadn't noticed I wasn't following him. The man on the couch sat up with a grin.

"Like what you see, dollface?"

"Uh...I guess?" I wasn't sure how to respond to that.

He laughed. "You guess? That's not the reaction I expected."

"Ignore him," Matt said. "That's my brother, Allen."

"It's nice to meet you," I smiled at him. "I can't remember my own name at the moment, I'm sorry."

"I'll just stick to callin' ya doll, then," he didn't seem too fazed by that, as if it wasn't a surprise.

Matt had acted the same way. I couldn't deny they were strange people. But that definitely made me strange as well. Because for some reason, they seemed a bit familiar, and that was putting me at ease.

"Weren't you hungry?" I could hear Matt messing with things in the kitchen.

"Yes! I'm sorry!" I immediately turned to go after him.

Allen followed after me. He sat down at the table, so I figured it was okay to do so as well.

"There's hardly anything here..." Matt grumbled.

"That's why Oliver went shopping," Allen pointed out.

"Did he take Francois, or is he skulking around somewhere?"
