(AN: A double update!

I wanted to do something special for Halloween. I debated on doing a special fun chapter, but decided on doing two updates this week instead. Since I work at a haunted house, I wasn't able to get both of these chapters posted right on Halloween, but here is the next chapter nonetheless! After this, I will be going back to my update schedule of every two weeks. Thank you all for reading, I hope you enjoy!)

When I opened my eyes, my aggravation was replaced by both shock and confusion. This wasn't the room I went to sleep in. I was currently on some type of bed, from the looks of it, a patient bed that would be in a hospital. Was that where I was? Whatever room this was, it was dark and there seemed to be a grayish mist in the air.

This situation made absolutely no sense....How could I be laying in my bed in Oliver's house one moment, only to be somewhere completely different the next? Unless...

"A dream?" I mumbled.

"That's right," a female voice replied from behind me.

It was hushed, as if she was afraid to speak any louder. A light in the room turned on. It was dim and kept flickering, but it allowed me to get my bearings. I really was in a hospital....

To my surprise this was the only bed in the room. Usually, most patient rooms would be able to have two patients in them, the two beds separated by a curtain. But the one I was on was the only one. Everything around me was what one would expect to see, an iv drip...a machine that monitors vitals....cupboards filled with all kinds of medical supplies. But there was one thing that was very strange.

A chair was pulled directly next to the side of the bed I was on. There was a girl on it, presumably the one who had spoken earlier. She was sitting with her legs crossed, her slouched posture giving off a strange, intense vibe. The dress she was wearing was white, and had long sleeves and went down to her mid calf. Her feet were bare.

But there was one extremely strange...not to mention creepy...thing about this girl. She had a white mask that covered the top half of her face, which cut off just under her nose, leaving her mouth exposed. There were no markings on the mask at all, not even any holes for her eyes.

"Who are you? If this is a dream, why are you here?" I asked.

"Names aren't important," she replied. "You don't need to trouble yourself with those things. I'm here because I want to be. I'm here because you don't remember."

"Remember? You mean my lost memories?"

"That's right," she gave a slight nod of her head.

"I'm beginning to remember little things. But I hardly know anything about who I am, let alone what happened to make me forget everything."

"What happened indeed..." there was a small grin on her face. "Let's just say what happened isn't important. You're with those four boys now because you're meant to be."

"What do you mean meant to be?"

"Call it fate or destiny," she mused. "It really doesn't matter what. But you being with them wasn't an accident. It didn't happen by chance. As I said, you are meant to be there."

"I don't understand," my tone urged her to start explaining.

"I have a question for you," she completely ignored what I had said. "Do you believe that you have one single string of fate, or is there multiple possibilities?"
