Chapter 5

***Olivia's POV***

It's been a couple of weeks since moved in with Elias. Since I told him the truth about myself and my past, things between us have been calm and we were in a good place. He was teaching me more about hybrids, and I was slowly learning to accept them. At the moment I was sitting here on the couch peacefully. I was on a Disney movie binge-watching spree. Rose was with me. She had never seen any Disney movies, so being the Disney fanatic that I was, decided to give her the best experience. So far she has loved them all. I mean who wouldn't?

"So wait, she doesn't end up with him? She basically saves him just to let him go again?" 

"Oh girl just wait till you see the second movie," I said

"Wait there's a second movie? " She asked, I laughed. So far we had watched, snow white, sleeping beauty, beauty and the beast, Mulan, Mulan 2, Pocahontas, and the little mermaid. She had a long way to go.

"If you think this one is good, just wait till you see the lion king," I told her. 

"I can't believe I missed out on watching so many fun movies like these. I never realized how restricted from the world I was till now. How did you come to watch these, I thought you said you never stayed in one home long enough?" She asked me.

"Well I never stayed in the same home for more than a few months at a time, and when I was in those homes, TV was kind of my escape. One of the better homes I was in had a collection of all of the old Disney movies and some on the new ones. I would watch them over and over. It was a better time. But enough about my depressing childhood, I am very hungry, and before we continue to our next movie, how about we get some food?" I said she laughed.

"Wow, that baby can eat. Your pregnancy is something really out of the ordinary, I mean you've got a really hungry baby, and plus you look like your already three months pregnant, and it's only been like what three weeks, almost a month." She said. I looked down at my stomach I guess my stomach has gotten a bit too big for me only being almost two months pregnant. 

"I didn't even realize that, I don't really know. I guess that is a question for Eli, he knows more about the whole wolf thing than I do. I mean I've only been a wolf for almost two years now, I think. I'm kind of still learning to be one myself." I said. We headed off to the kitchen, and I sat at the table while Rose made food. She was always so kind to me. She and I have been getting to know each other over the past couple of weeks also. I learned that she had been with Elias for like ten years now, she is the first hybrid he turned. So technically, she was twenty-nine and not nineteen, but since she stopped aging at nineteen that was her default age. As we were sitting in the kitchen eating, we heard a loud crash come from the front of the house.

"Stay here, I'm going to go check it out."She said I looked at her as if she was stupid and grabbed her arm.

"Have you never seen a scary movie? Checking out the mysterious noise is never a good idea. Staying here where all the weapons are is a better one." I whispered to her. She took a deep breath, then closed her eyes. When she opened them again they were a dark yellow. Her hybrid senses were on high alert. Which meant whatever or whoever made that sound wasn't a friend. We could hear footsteps coming our way. 

"Get behind me," she said, I didn't protest and did what she said. I heard a deep laugh and looked over her shoulder. There was a very handsome guy standing in the doorway. Why do the bad guys always look so good? 

"Oh little Rosey, do you really think you can beat me?" he asked her in a cocky manner. I really didn't like this guy.

"What do you want Alister?" She asked him.

"Oh, nothing. Just wanted to make some trouble. Now, where is Elias?" he asked. "And who is the pregnant wolf behind you? It's okay little one I don't bite," he said.

"Well I wish that were true, but judging by the fangs you have there I get the feeling you are lying," I said.

"A cub with spice. I like it." He said.

"I suggest you leave," Rose said. I could tell there was some kind of unspoken thing between them. There was definitely a lot of tension here. 

"Aww, you wound me Rosey." 

"Don't call me that, you ass

"Your baby has a fine little heartbeat. Too bad I'm going to have to kill the two of you." He said The next thing I knew, Rose was not in front of me anymore, she was against the wall, unconscious. He grabbed me and wrapped his hands around my neck. My lungs were on fire. I could feel my body slowly losing the circulation of air. My vision was going black. The only thing I could think about was the baby. Before I lost consciousness, I felt his hands leave my body, and the air rush back into my lungs.
