~riding the bus to school~
"Hola gemelos," Mateo says with an evil grin. [hey twins]
Shannon rolled her eyes and sat down in the only open seat, in front of Mateo.
"¡Vete!" Lance said and sat down next to her. [go away]
"Oye Shannon ¿que pasa con tu pelo?" Mateo asked poking her head. [Hey Shannon what's with your hair?]
"¡No me toques!" Shannon says jerking her head away. [dont touch me]
Mateo fake-frowned, "¿por qué? Qué está equivocado?" [Why? What's wrong?]
"No quiero tus manos cerca de mi"
[I don't want your hands near me]
"Deja de hablarnos," Lance said. [stop talking to us] Mateo sands up so he can look at both of them better.
"Necesito preguntar: ¿Hay alguna razón por la que tu pelo sea tan corto?" [Is there any reason why your hair is so short?]
"Me gusta como es," Shannon said, running her hand through it. [I like it how it is]
"Deja de hablarnos por favor," lance said. [please stop talking to us]
"Pero pareces un chico," Mateo fake pouts.
"No, muchas chicas tienen el pelo corto." [no lots of girls have short hair]
"¿Tienes pluma?" Mateo asks. [are you gay]
Lance always hated Mateo but this put him over the edge, he stood up and screamed in Mateo's face, "No importa si ella es gay ¡Deja de hablarnos!" [it doesn't matter is she's gay. Stop talking to us!]
Mateo was shocked and immediately sat down and stopped talking.
"Gracias hermano" Shannon said while she rested her head on his shoulder. [thanks brother]
"De nada," he said and patted her head.

~Later at night while the two are cuddling alone in their room.~
      "Hey," Shannon starts, "about that incident on the bus, thank you so much for that."
      Lance laughed, "of course, like I said, I will always help you."
      Shannon smiled, "can we talk more about it now?"
     "Yeah, what?"
      "He was right, I'm gay, well specifically, I'm pansexual," Shannon smiled and Lance did too.
      Lance looked down and whispered, "yeah, I already knew, I love you!"
      "Love you too!"
Lance took a deep breath, "I'm bi,"
      "Yeah," Shannon smiled, "I already knew too, good night."
"Good night"
