Maya's pov

I got back home and I'm pretty sure Damon was drunk and elena like always was trying to cheer them up I still haven't told them that me and Nik kissed and I'm not sure if I can. How do you tell someone that the guy who has tried to kill you so many times, I am hopelessly in love with him?

" hey" I told them

" hey" Damon muttered

" maya I'm so sorry the plan was he was going to use me as bait not you" elena told me

" it's OK i didn't get hurt" I told her turn damon's phone started ringing

" not interested in a play by play of our failure right now Katherine" Damon told her

" im just calling to say goodbye, you had a good plan Damon and that's high praise coming from me" I listened into their conversation

" that's not very comforting right now Katherine" Damon said

" put maya on the phone" Katherine ordered and Damon passed the phone to me

" hey" I said "what's up"

" just wanted to make sure your still breathing after mikael used you instead of me" Katherine and said and I smiled

" it's nice to know Katherine pierce still has a heart" I smiled

" you know I care about you" she told me

" enough to let mikael out and you knew he was planning on killing me one way or another" I said to her

" I'm sorry" she muttered

" no your not you'll do whatever it takes to survive" I said softly " take care fo yourself Katherine"

" yeah you too" I hung up after she said that.

" I'm going bed" I hugged Damon " night you two"

I went up the stairs and went into my room and where near my window on most nights I looked out of Nik was standing there and I closed the door behind me so no one could hear.

" Nik what are you doing here" I asked and I couldn't help smiling a bit.

" i wanted to see how you were after mikael demise" Nik said

" I really did want to tell you but mikael compelled me to keep my mouth shut about the plan" I told him taking off my necklace and put it in the table.

"did that kiss mean anything" he asked out of nowhere

" I don't know what I feel for you. I'm just so confused" I told him

" let me clear it up then" Nik told me and his lips touched mine and I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hand around on my waist to deepen the kiss eventually we stopped to catch our breath a d we rested on each other foreheads.

" I don't want to leave you ever again" Nik muttered to me

" me either" I muttered back
