Chapter 54

Maya's pov

I walked up the stairs to kols room which is the last room on the left. I knocked on the door but he didn't answer but I could hear him walking around.

" kol" I knocked on the door

" im busy" he shouted

" with what plotting who's hand your going to break next?" I shouted from the door

" yes" he said simply

" kol mikaelson get your ass out here?!?" i shouted and he finally opened the door

" oh hey maya, long time no see... How's your life? " he asked happily like we were old friends just meeting again

" If klaus hadn't of hidden all the daggers you would be in a coffin by now " I said firmly

" oh come on I having a bit of fun he didn't get hurt " kol jumped on his bed and I followed him into his room

" you broke his hand!" I threw my hand into the air

" I didnt it's just a tiny sprain " kol said

" give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you " I said firmly

" because you gave Nik like a thousand chances he sacrificed your friend on a altar fire, turned your friend into a hybrid then used your friend elena again as a human blood bag" he stopped and smirked then asked me " would you like me go past this year?"

" no... That's fine" I smiled at the fact that he totally won this argument

" It's a shame I never met you before maya you would of made a good partner in crime" kol put out his hand and I shook it. I smiled at him then left and at that sentence I couldn't help but go back to when I met his family for the first time.

Flashback

I walked into niks ' house' as he calls it but it's a mansion. I just got  back from college and me and Nik are still not strings attached but we have become more then that. He's probably my best friend and he's admitted I am his. Maybe I do have minor feelings for him but that's it no strings attached.

" hey" I said as I walked in and saw a guy with a suit on and his hair was slick back and I saw a blonde girl who was in the finest of dresses.

" hey love how was college" he kissed my head and put his arm round my waist and the other two seemed to be shocked by his sudden movements

" boring" I said and he just smiled

" sorry let me introduce you to my sister and my brother elijah and rebekah. Brother, sister this is my friend maya" klaus introduced us and I shook hands with both of them and rebekah raised her eyebrows and niks last words

" friends?" rebekah laughed " oh your 'special' friends 

" rebekah" elijah warned her for her rudeness but I didn't mind It kind of reminded me of a certain hybrid

" what elijah? " rebekah asked with still a smile on her face

" so you are a vampire" elijah changed topics

" hybrid, actually" I smiled at them

" your part vampire and part werewolf" rebekah stood astonished

" not exactly I'm part vampire and part banshi" I told them and elijah shook his head

" that's impossible banshi have been extinct for centuries" elijah and rebekah sat in the couch as me and Nik did on the opposite.

" my mom was the last one she hid for decades then she got married to my father and had my older brother and me and my twin brother and she hoped that none of us would get her gene but I only did." I told them

" I've never seen a banshi before you look so control of it " rebekah said

I pulled my sleeve up to show them my bracelet

" this bracelet dorments it " I told them.

We talked for hours. We talked, we laughed and mostly made fun of each other. I couldn't help but shake the feeling of home here. Sitting with Nik always by my side talking and having fun with his family and then I noticed the time.

" I have to go work it was nice meeting you guys" I said

" I'll see ya tonight" klaus smirked

" perhaps" I smirked back and went to work

Rebekah pov

Maya seems nice and fun. I'm starting to love her already which is nice Considering all the girls Nik has been with I've wanted to gauge my eyes out.

" college and work" I said

" what's your point rebekah" Nik hissed at me

" im just saying before you dated girls who about have the IQ of a raisin" I joked and I saw a small smile form from elijah's mouth

" we're not dating rebekah" klaus said

" oh come on Nik it's obvious your in love with her and it's even more obvious she's in love with you nik. You guys are basically going out already you guys just don't want to be labelled because what? your scared?" I said

" this girl means nothing to me you know what I do. it's only a matter of time before I get bored of her and throw her away " he said and I could see in his face it killed him to say those words

" your a liar... just admit Nik you've fallen for her" I smiled at him

" I will admit nothing we are simply good friends who sleep with each other" he said simply

" your awfully quiet lijah what do you have to say about the girl" I asked him

" no matter there relationship rebekah she brings out the best in niklaus. I like her" elijah admits

" me too" I say
