We jump apart as we hear a bang on the door. "Come on out, bitch!" She yells.

Shane drags me into the bathroom and locks the door behind us. I bury my head in his shoulder as we hear chilling footsteps up the stairs. He runs up to the window and yanks it open. He gestures to me and whispers, "Quick. You guys have a ladder against the wall. Climb down and run. I'll be right behind you." He stands in front of the door. We hear a knock on the bathroom door.

"Come on out, or I'll axe down this door!"

Shane pushes me towards the window. "Go!" I climb down until I reach the ground. I hear a screaming Lisa as Shane turns around. He shrieks and turns back. "Emmy! Run!"

"I'm not leaving you!"

"Go!"

I cry and start to run. Across the street, past the park-- I run until I reach my destination, the police station. I rush in and start to hyperventilate. The officer sits me down and calms me down.

"What's wrong, Honey?"

"My boyfriend's ex just broke into our house with an ax, and she was trying to kill me. My boyfriend made me run without him. He's still at the house." I sob.

"Where?"

I give him my address, and he brings me to his police car as a few more rush into their vehicles. He turns on the siren and races off to my house. When we pull up, he pulls out a megaphone. "Step out of the building and put your weapons down! You're surrounded."

I get out of the car and walk towards the house. He stops me.

"Miss, it's not safe. Please stand back."

I sprint towards the house.

"Miss!" He yells. I run through the front door and go up the stairs. I enter my chilling silent room, and suddenly, I'm pushed to the ground. I look up to see Shane tied up to my bed. I sob as Lisa appears in view.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" She holds an axe in her hand.

She pushes me against the wall. I hit my head and collapse on the floor.

"Emmy!" Shane screams as my vision turns to black.

The last thing I hear is a single gun shot.
