Chapter 3

Serena's POV:

When we got to London, I was pretty pumped.

New surroundings, New people, and of course, New Life.

I inhaled the fresh London air once we got out and smiled. The chilly breeze was so exciting.

In california, it was always hot. I hugged my arms and rubbed them. Megan, well I think she's used to weather's like these.

We took a cab because we don't have a car. (Pft Of course!)

I was really into my view when Megan suddenly tapped my shoulder, I looked at her and waited for her to speak.

"You think you like it here?" she asked with eyes full of concern.

"what do you mean like? More like LOVE!" i happily squealed.

She laughed and went back to her phone.

After god knows how long, we got to the hotel.

"Why is it so far?" i whined like a five year old. "oh silly come on!!" megan squealed excitedly

I laughed and the cab driver retrieved our bags from the boot of the car. (a/n for those of you who doesn't know what a boot is, it's the trunk of the car . xx)

"Hello Ladies" a man at his mid-forties maybe, with a strong british accent greeted us by the hotel entrance.

"Hello sir" megan replied faking an accent.

I tried to stiffle my laugh at her attempt but eventually failed.

Megan narrowed her eyes at me and walked away. I followed her and she was talking to the receptionist.

"Reservations under Roberts" she said politely.

"Just a minute madame" the receptionist replied.

We walked to the nearest seat and patiently waited for our call, or should I say, Megan's call.

"Ms.Roberts!" the receptionist called out. Megan walked up to her and did their transaction or whatever.

"Come on Rin!" megan yelled from the elevator.

I quickly ran afraid that it will close, I eventually got inside of the lift and megan pressed the 14th floor.

A few seconds later, we got to our floor and headed to our room.

"Here's your extra keycard" megan said as she handed me one.

I just nodded and waited for her to enter.

Once we got in, we were both mesmerized by the neat and luxurious hotel room.

"Oh my gosh! No way!" megan said shockingly.

"I never thought mom and dad would reserve us a place like this!" she said.

"Well, believe it now. And how would you never think of it when your stinking rich?!" i said to her as a matter of factly.

She just nodded and roamed around.

I did the same and found a bedroom with an amazing view of the London eye.

I gasped at the scenery and fell in love with it. I went out the balcony and savoured every moment.

"You really love it don't you?" megan said as she popped out of nowhere

"Gosh! Meg you scared the hell outta me!" i said while clutching my chest.

She chuckled and went beside me.

"But, Meg, thanks for all of these, really. I appreciate every single thing you did for me. You didn't have to move here with me though, and you didn't have to bring me here, just you being by my side when they tease me is enough. I love you meg." i said close enough to tears.

She hugged me tight and whispered soothing words. "hey, it's alright, besides what are bestfriends for?" she asked lightening the mood.

I smiled. "Now, come on, we need to unpack, tomorrow we'll go sightseeing and shopping!" she said excitedly.

I frowned knowing that I didn't have enough money to buy what i want. "But, i don't have any money." i said shyly.

"It's all my treat silly!" she said.

I nodded and sighed.

I went back inside and started unpacking my things.

Whew! That was really tiring

I glanced at my watch and the time says 7:47 pm.

Not bad, i can now go to sleep.

I gathered my pajamas and essentials before heading off to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face before going to sleep.

I jumped on my bed and grabbed my old cheap sliding phone.

It doesn't really work well. I was examining my phone before i felt my eyelids getiing heavier. Soon, i drifted off to sleep.

Megan's POV:

I was walking back to my room when I saw Serena examining the phone which I gave her when we were 13.

I sighed and felt bad for my bestfriend. I'll buy her tomorrow. And that's final!
