Chapter 4

Serena's POV:

I woke up at around 7 am because this is usually the time I wake up for work

I got out of bed and head to the bathroom, I stripped my clothes off and hopped in the shower.

After 10 minutes, I got out and dried myself I went back to my bedroom and opened the closet.

I just picked a random navy blue shirt and an old denim ripped jeans. To complete my outfit, I picked out my navy blue flipflops which I just bought the last time i had my salary.

I went out of my room and of course, Megan's still asleep

I decided to take a walk around and buy breakfast

I grabbed my jacket, wallet, and phone then headed out to the lift

I pressed the G button which represents the ground floor aka Lobby

I started walking and the air sent chills to my spine. I rubbed my arms and hands to keep me warm.

I've been walking now for half an hour, I didn't really noticed that the time ticked by so fast! I was so fascinated by this place. It's so beautiful.

I found a Starbucks around the corner and walked towards it. I smiled at the memories when i used to work there.

When I opened the door of the coffee shop, I was greeted by the familiar sweet aroma scent. I inhaled the sweet scent and walked in.

I went over the counter and surprisingly there was no line. Weird. This is the perfect time for businessmans and womans to stop by before heading to work.

Anyways, i walked up the counter and there stood a girl which looked like my age.

"Hello miss!" she said happily

Her accent was the same from mine. It was obvious that she came from California

"Hello. Can i please have 2 coffees and 2 blueberry muffins?" I replied politely

"Sure mam" she said

"Are you from california?" I asked friendly

She looked up and smiled "Yes. You are too aren't you?" She asked

"Yeah. What's your name?" I asked

"It's Jasmine" she smiled

I nodded and she continued the transaction

I payed her and headed off to a table

"Serena!" Jasmine called out

I looked over to her and stood up. I walked over the counter and grabbed the bag which consists of megan and I's breakfast

"Thank you Jasmine" i said smiling

"Your welcome" she replied

"Well i gotta go, my friend might be awake by now" i said

"But, we can hangout sometimes" i continued

She smiled and nodded

She handed me a piece of paper which consisted of her number I think.

"Alright. I'll see you around Jasmine" i said

"Of course Serena. Don't forget to call me when you can!" She replied once i was about to exit the shop

"Will do!" I said in a loud voice because I was almost out. She nodded and I started walking back to the hotel

While I was walking, my phone ringed. I looked at the caller i.d. And saw that it was Megan calling me. Well, it was always her though a/n M= Megan S=Serena

S= hey i'am almost there. I brought starbucks

M= good. Walk faster okay? I'am starving

S= sure madame

M= i'll see you later then

S= alright

Before i could end the call, someome bumped into me and the coffee was spilled.

"Oh no!" I screamed

"I'am so sorry miss, I didn't mean to! I can buy you another one" the stranger said. I guess it's a man judging by his voice

I looked towards his direction and gasped. He was handsomee! He has sleek black hair with these oh so cute hazel eyes

I cleared my throat "uh. It's alright. Just forget about it" i replied while looking down

"No i'll buy you" he argued

"It's alright" i replied

"So what's your name?" He asked shyly

I chuckled "It's Serena. What's yours?" I asked back

"It's Zayn" he replied

I just nodded my head and then there was an awkward silence

Zayn decided to break it and asked me a question

"Well erm uh can i get your number so we can hang out sometimes and then maybe i can pay you back" he said nervously

He just asked my number! Should i give it? I mean i just knew him a few seconds ago.

But anyway he's handsome! (Hahahaa!!!)

"You don't have to. It's just a coffee. But, you can have my number i guess" i replied while blushing

His face lit up "really?!" He asked excitedly

"i mean we can be friends, so yeah" i replied

His face dropped when I mentioned the word Friends. Did he like me? He just met me a few minutes ago! He cannot like me!

"Okay. Here" he said as he handed me his iphone

I typed in my number and saved Serena :))

I gave him his phone back and then smiled

He smiled back before saying his goodbye

"Well then i'll see you soon" he said

"Sure. I gotta go now" i smiled

He smiled back before walking off. I smiled to myself of what just happened before walking back to the hotel.
