December the 21st, the first day of winter and it felt like it too. It was about 21 degrees outside but I loved it. Matter of fact, I was name after this season. My parents said I was so pale with beautiful blue eyes that I reminded them of the snow and bright blue skies in the winter time. Thank God for tanning beds because I hated my pale skin. Anyway, we suppose to be expecting an ice storm tonight but I had to meet up with Aiden before it came in. Aiden messaged me on Facebook saying he found my mother's 18k white gold diamond ring. Her initials and mines were engrave on the band. It was the only thing I had left of my real mother. Her ring was a very sentimental piece to me and I couldn't leave it in Aiden's possession. I didn't even notice it was missing until he said something about it. I could have sworn I had packed everything though. This was the only day Aiden had off and it had to be a freaking snow day. Snow had already covered the yards and streets pure white. The roads wasn't icy yet, just a little slushy and a few slippery spots. I'm a country girl though and can drive my ass off in this shit, so it didn't bother me to drive. Even though I was a girly girl, I didn't mind getting dirty.
I pulled up to the mansion. The only thing I did miss, was how appealing and relaxing this place was. I hated this long ass driveway more than anything. It seem like it was a mile just to get to the door. I should have just parked in the garage but this was about to be a in and out type of situation. I rung the doorbell indecisively, I wasn't ready to see Aiden again. It's crazy, I use to love looking at his face, I thought he was the most beautiful creature that God had created. I thought he was Perfect but he turn out to be the most obnoxious monstrous human being I've ever met. If only I could turn back the hands of time, I would have never given him a chance to ruin my life.
Ding Dong Ding Dong
Aiden opened the door up quickly like he had been standing by it, waiting on me. It usually takes a minute to get to the door because the house was so huge.
" Come in Wynter."
He offered me calmly while he stood behind the door to let me in.
I raised my eyebrow at him feeling a little disturb and wondering what could be going on in that brain of his.
" Oh no, I rather not. Just give me what I came here for, so I can leave." I stood in doorway with my hands in my pocket, not wanting to go in.
" Wynter, I have to go upstairs to get the ring. You don't need to be standing out here in the cold. Fuck around and get sick or some shit." He replied to me. I don't even know why he was acting like he cares. The big flakes of snow started to fall down heavily while the wind blew strongly at the same. Aiden looked up at the sky.
"See a sign from God." Aiden smile beamed brightly at me.
I couldn't help but to feel nauseous. I could feel a chunk of vomit stuck in the back of my throat from the site of him. I rolled my eyes in the air at Aiden but it did feel like the temperature was dropping already.
" I'll come in, just hurry up before it get to bad out here and before it get dark. Icy roads are hard to see at night. " I demanded while I walked inside the mansion that looked completely different. All the things that I had picked out for the house was gone. I guess he didn't want any memories left of me.
" Let me go upstairs and grab it. You can have a seat if you like."
" No, I'm good. I won't be here long." I replied.
" You gotta stop acting like that, Wynter. Stop being so stubborn!"
" Aiden I'm not being stubborn. Don't sit up here and pretend like we are the best of friends. You acting like we just didn't get into it at the fair. Don't you have a fiancé and baby on the way? Can you just go get my ring please and stop your little show you got going? I didn't come here for entertainment." I scoffed at him.
