" Hi, this is Nashville Police Department. This is officer Dan Coby, may I speak with Ms. Elleah Hofner please?"

" Yes, this is she."
I responded trying not to get my nerves build up. I was praying they found Damari and he was alive. I can't take any more deaths nor pain. I couldn't help but to think negative thoughts after everything that has been happening.

" Ma'am, we have Damari Jeter in our custody. The only contact information we have on file for his family, is you. Can you please come down to the station and pick him up? If you're not able to, we will be force to send him to a foster care."

I close my eyes and fell to my knees. I thanked the man above before I said anything back to the officer.
" No need for that. I'll come get him. I'm on my way now. Thank you so much for contacting me."

"You're welcome ma'am. Bye, bye."

"Bye." "Ethan baby, guess what? The police have Damari in their custody, they found him baby!"
I started crying joyous tears.

"That's great news Leah."
Ethan said, sounding down.

He was sitting on the edge of the bed staring at the picture that Wynter gave him when he was in a coma. I sat down next to Ethan. I looked at the picture with him.

" You know, I miss her too, Ethan."

" Yeah, I know you do. I just wish we could have seen each other before she left. That's all Wynter wanted to do, was see me but I told her to wait. I thought we had time, I didn't think she would die Elleah."

" No one expected her to die baby. You may not know this but Wynter had been sick for almost a month, she was coughing real bad. Jahmil and I asked her to get treated but you know Wynter was always hardheaded. She puts everyone needs before hers. Wynter wasn't going to rest until she knew you was good though. I know that for a fact. I guess when she heard your voice, she finally felt like she could leave us. Wynter held on long enough just to know you made it out that coma. She was fighting for her life and no one had any idea.
The day of the wedding, Wynter was extremely sick. I could see it all over her face, the first time I've ever seen her look like that. I should have followed my first mind. I should've let Jahmil check her out but Wynter promised me she felt fine. She just told me that though, so I wouldn't worry about her. She didn't want anybody to be worried about her. I'm sure Wynter don't want us to be worried about her now. She just wanted everybody to be happy, like she was before she died. So, do me a favor Ethan and try to be happy. I hate seeing you like this. I know it's hard baby because I want my best friend here too."

" Elleah, I can't be happy. My sister is dead! This shit hurts to bad man!"

Ethan got up from the bed and punched the wall. He then broke down in tears and fell to his knees.  I couldn't help but to cry too. I felt exactly where he was coming from. I  got up and went over to him. I kneeled down on my knees beside him. I hugged on Ethan as tight as I could. I wanted to let him know, he's not alone in this and I got his back until the day we die.

Ethan wiped his tears off his face and held his head up, trying to shake off his feelings.
" Elleah, I'm sorry for all that."

"Baby, you don't have to apologize. You need to let your feelings out. Holding things in will eat you up alive. Believe me, I know."
I  leaned in and kiss him on his lips. I then look him into his sexy dark eyes.
" Ethan, I love you so much. Just know baby, we're in this together."

" I love you too, Elleah. Thank you for the talk baby. I needed that. Now, let's go get that little boy."

" Ok, bae."

45 minutes later  we arrived at the police station. Soon as we walked through the door, I spotted Damari sitting next to a policeman. Damari looked as if he had been through everything. His face was dirty, the collar of his shirt was ripped and he had pieces of grass still in his hair. He held his head down. I immediately ran over to Damari. I couldn't hold back my tears, it's really him in the flesh, my little buddy.
