👑🌙🐰Jungkook was wondering , if this is going to be worth living for eternity in the shadows without having any purpose in the life(well, the shadow thing is metaphorically spoken)
The war between humans and vampires was over as soon as the agreement was signed, wherein it was stated that vampires would no more attack on humans and in compensation they would provide them with blood bags, so that they were nourished(also some supplements that replaced blood, which could keep them alive).
It had been 300 years when it was happened, at that time Jungkook was 450 years.
In spite of living in peace in his mansion, he could not prevent himself from feeling hollow inside. Not even his more than 1000 lovers that he had, could fill the empty place in his heart. Neither his riches, nor jewel, nor money or gold. He did not have any reason to live. A passion that lush down him to the world.
No reason was there, then why should he continue to exist.
That's why he was there, in a forest, miles away from his house, In his overcoat that covered him, on fine line between the shadow and the sun that would disintegrate him in seconds.
Only one step to be taken and everything would be ended, would say goodbye to this boring world forever.
As he started taking off his overcoat, he heard a cry that made way to him from the trees. A cry of a baby.
For the moment he forgot the reason to come here miles away from his home. He started to walk, following the sound that was deafening him.
It took minutes searching through the trees, until he noticed there was something in thickets. He found out, there was a small baby canasta with a baby in it. The baby kept crying and moving within his soft white blanket.
Jungkook looked at him doubtedly, didn't know whether to approach the baby or should leave him there. Someone might come and find him. But what person, beside him would be there in this solitary place away from city? No cabin could be seen nearby, confirmed that baby's mother left him there for dying of hunger. Jungkook could not think about another explanation.
He squatted down besides the canasta, tilted his head down and looked at baby. He never dealt with children by his own.
"Hey, brat, stop crying," he said poking him with his finger as he was some weirdo. But the was a human baby that surely did not exceed six months.
The little one stopped crying but continued to whining, and watched him with his innocent eyes full of tears. He raised his arms in Jungkook's direction and waited for the older to carry him.
Jungkook kept watching and getting more and more curious.
"In my more than 750 years I never raised a baby... why should you be the first?"
The baby pouted and Jungkook knew that he did not want to make him cry again, he should take him in his arms.
He carefully held the baby without knowing the right way to carry a baby, but he did it. He noticed that baby was not crying anymore, it means he did a good job, especially when he observed baby's smile.
Smile that made him smile, that he didn't in more than two centuries. Smile that made him forget his desire to disappear from the world.
He checked the baby was alright, healthy. While he was just checking he found out that there was something embroidered on the blanket.
"Kim Seok Jin," he smiled holding the baby more carefully and covering him with his overcoat to protect him from sun.
"Time to go home, Jinnie."
