Jin sighed, the consultation with doctor had been as bad as it could be expected, with the news that he had already imagined.
He parked the car and combed his gray hairs back with his fingers. He did not want to make Jungkook worry about his health. But he knew that the vampire would know sooner or later. He could not hide it from him, at least not for a very long time. He get out of his car, finally made up his mind.
He opened the door to mansion and entered seeing Jungkook sat in one of armchairs reading some book.
He approached him with sad face, already predicting his reaction as he sat down next to him.
For a few seconds, he was free to admire the beautiful youth of his beloved, while he slowly aged leaving behind the memories of the image of young man, he once was.
"Hello, Jungkookie."
"Jinnie," he sighed, placing the book aside. "There is something I want to tell you."
"Me too. But you first please."
Kook sighed, gesturing him to wait as he went to to get something.
Seokjin waited patiently until he heard the steps of his beloved approaching. He looked up and saw. In his hands, he was carrying a cake with a lit candle on it.
"Jungkookie..."
"You didn't think I would forget your birthday, did you?" He asked with a smile on his face. "Now make a wish and remember don't say it aloud or it'll not be fulfilled."
"That's a lie."
"I know,but it's a custom."
The human smiled before blowing candle out.
"And? What you asked for?" The vampire asked being anxious.
Jin asked him to come closer and then whispered in his ear.
"It's a secret."
Seokjin spent almost half an hour enduring Jungkook's tantrums for refusing to tell him what he asked in wish. He calmed down only when Jin took him in his arms and pampered him up.
And the smile Kook gave him was what he got for postponing the bad news for another day.
He could not tell him, he couldn't erase such a beautiful gesture from the face of his beloved.
