It will be called 'The New House' and... I think you can guess what it will be about.

Here are the first 2 chapters: (cos the 1st chapter is short and nothing happens)

                                                              Chapter 1

“Isn’t this wonderful?”

“Yeah…”

“This is just so much better.”

“Yes…”

“We can finally be happy, together, just you and me.”

Adam smiles as Alesa wraps her arms around his neck, “Yes, and well… maybe not just us.”

Alesa frowns, “Umm… yeah sure.” She responds with false delightfulness, “I better unpack my stuff.”

She lets go of Adam and snakes around the cardboard boxes all stacked up in the hallway, “Why don’t you go pick your recording room?”

“Yeah!” Adam shouts in reply. He steps over some boxes and takes a look round the new house, thinking about what the future could hold.

He places his right foot on the first step of the stairs, hearing a slight creak as he presses his weight down. He puts his left foot on the next step, relieved that he wasn’t too OCD about these sorts of things. Adam continues up the stairs, eventually reaching the last one and letting go of the banister. He looks left and right down the corridor, looking for a room that didn’t already have a purpose, or wasn’t already occupied.

He opens one of the two doors that were closed; the crystal white tiles lining the walls blinded him for a few moments until his eyes adjusted.

“Well… looks like I found the bathroom.” He whispers to himself. He couldn’t exactly record in here.

Adam walks down a little further down the hall, turning the handle of the last remaining closed door. He steps in.

Adam liked what he saw, it was a relatively small room, and it had a window which lit the room sufficiently. It had no furniture, but Adam imagined his computer set-up fitting perfectly in here.

“Honey?” he hears Alesa call up to him.

“Yes?” Adam shouts back down.

“You found a room for your computer yet?”

“Yes!” Adam answers. But he frowned at the echo he heard afterwards.

“Great! Wanna help me unpack?” Alesa asks.

“Yeah sure! But err… I think I might need something for the echo in here.”

Alesa chuckles, “Okay, we can get something for that later, but help me unpack first, will you?”

Adam exits the room, “Alright I’m…” he hesitates, “…coming.”

“What was that?” Alesa asks, not quite hearing what Adam said.

He doesn’t respond, noticing that one of the doors down the hall was closed. He was pretty sure he’d left all of them open.

“Alesa?”

“What?”

“Did you come up here a few minutes ago?” Adam asks, walking over to the closed door.
