"The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell..." The man standing in front of the spacious room mumbles with dreary eyes. His monotone voice blends in with the stale atmosphere.Half asleep, he fumbles with the clicker, switching in between slides. Diagrams of the too many animal and plant cell organelles flash on and off the screen. Either nobody has time to write anything, or the same slide is shown for many minutes too long. There's never a happy medium at this time of day.
8 AM classes; everyone advises against them for a reason, especially if you have Professor Min.
It's not that he's a bad guy, it's that he too did not want to teach this class... at all. In fact, the only reason why he is teaching in the hellish hours of dawn is because of the beginning of the year staff meeting. Long story short, everyone drew straws for class times. 8 AM lectures were the last choice, and the poor lad drew the longest straw.
As one can see, college is very professional.
Min Yoongi is the opposite of a morning person, in fact, he might as well be born as a rock in the next life because he doesn't even like being awake. Period.
And how he was drawn into teaching college Microbiology, that's another story.
Though it's not the flashiest of jobs, Yoongi has the flashiest of hair- a bright electric blue.
Sitting towards the middle of the lecture room, the only person in her row, a girl halfheartedly sketches all over her notes. Semi realistic eyes and eyebrows, stick men and flowers fill up the gap between the line and the paper's edge.
Of course, there are some lazy notes littered within the columns of the paper... most of which complaining about how much she hates this class. Ironically, The girl's major is, in fact, graphic design.
How she was forced to take college microbiology is also a completely different story.
Because of the way she is sitting, the only thing she can see in front of her was the screen and a small blue head of hair bouncing across the classroom.
"Aurem." Yoongi jokingly calls. "Are you still with us?"
"Unfortunately." She sighs, straightening her back.
The unfazed professor just sighs, unwrapping a lollipop and sticking it in his mouth. "Right..." He moves on with the lesson, walking towards the giant chalkboard. In a few moments, he draws of what looks like the outline of an animal cell.
"Aurem, label the organelles, if you please." His voice is muffled because of the candy. He appears to be smiling, but his eyes are glaring at her.
"Oh for f-..?!"
The chair was already tilted backwards on its hind legs and slipped out from under her. Along with her journal and binder, she flies backwards, her legs soaring above her head since they were situated on top of the desk. She screams and lands head first on the barely concrete floor.
From her perspective, only a moment passed from the time she hit the floor and when she opened her eyes, but that clearly wasn't the case. As she rapidly blinks, a pair of eyes come into focus.
