Chapter 2

"This time?" Yoongi mumbles but then remembers Aurem mentioning her clumsiness.

"Yeah, She was here last week from falling down the stairs in building B." The nurse sighs.

Professor Min squints his eyes and looks over to said area. "That building has 4 flights of stairs."

"I know, Aurem here went down ALL of them, came out with only a bruised rib." Seokjin makes his hand straight and karate points, turning towards her. "One day you won't be so lucky."

"I can't help it, I'm a walking disaster." She shrugs.

Yoongi sees that everything is in order and turns to walk out, but Jin stops him. "I need an eyewitness account of what happened."

The "I'm sure Aurem could tell you everything, well, besides when she blacked out but-"

"SHE WHAT?!" He turns and glares at her.

"Hey, it was your fault that I had to stand up to label something on the board..." Aurem jokingly looks at Yoongi, but he was having none of it.

"You're the one who leaned back on the hind legs of a chair, not to mention it was a rolly chair."

"Fine, Yoongi, you can go, I've heard enough." Jin facepalms. "I'll just order some tests to see if she has a concussion, arguing will make things worse."

"Thank you. I'll have your stuff dropped at your dorm." He breathes a sigh of relief. "Feel better.

"Thanks." Aurem half-grins.

He nods to Seokjin and swiftly walks away, leaving just the two of them.

"Now then, tell me what happened this time."

Jin brings her into one of the lonely areas and has her sit down. Aurem reluctantly mumbles the story, leaving nothing out. Jin facepalms the entire time, taking notes on a scratch piece of paper. Because of her he ran out of 'situation sheets.'

The two have known each other since Aurem was a freshman. Jin accelerated through most of his classes, becoming a resident at only 21. He finished schooling early, earning him a job as a general practitioner at the hospital when he was 25.

"Do you feel nauseous, dizzy, or anything out of the ordinary?" He looks at her, clicking his pen on the table.

"No, I've been nauseous since this morning, but that's probably because I haven't eaten anything today."

Jin checks both of her eyes and writes more on the tablet.

"Since when was the last time you've eaten?" He sighs, scribbling down more notes.

Aurem stays silent for a moment, looking at the ceiling as she thinks. After a moment, Jin stops writing and looks at her, but she's still thinking. The girl finally speaks up.

"You see, I've been working on this project for animation-"

"Aurem." Jin gives her a stern look.

"And I've been working really hard, so I haven't exactly had time to... eat..." her voice trails off at the end.

Jin stands up and walks to a cabinet, fumbling through some things.

"You know, I think I did have a granola bar yesterday morn-"

Jin chucks a ton of saltine cracker packets towards her, crossing his arms afterward.
