The girl nods with determination. Hoseok grins from ear to ear and holds out his hand. A flicker of light sparks for a moment, and two matching bracelets appear.

"This piece of jewelry binds you to your promise, while also notifying you of immediate danger to a person around you." He slides the band around her wrist. "The gems will glow when that happens. The closer you are, the brighter they shine."

"Beautiful..." She awes. "Whose bracelet is that one?" The girl points to the slightly bigger band.

"This one is his." Hoseok smiles widely at the boy.

"Hoseok, what if I don't want to do this whole partnering thing?" He grumbles.

"It's either you do or I'll tell Them you told Aurem to do a flip out of the gate."

"I- uh..." The boy stutters, he's not on the best terms with Them at the moment. "Fine."

He holds out his wrist, receiving the Jewelry. He groans. "Why is it so flashy?"

The bright angel completely ignores his complaint and returns the group into the black and white realm.

"They know all, but only because their messengers tell them. If there was no interjection, then the deal is approved."

Aurem nods, lightly flapping her wings. Looking at the boy, he pulls him over to the side while she is distracted.

"Look, this could help you in the long run, you could finally ascend."

He refuses to look Hoseok in the eye.

The bright angel jumps in front of his gaze, his halo bouncing along with him. "You realize that you can age here, and you're still losing feathers. It's only a matter of-"

"I know, and I don't care." He sighs. "I just have to watch her and make sure no one dies, right?"

Hoseok's wings droop, and his halo falls a few centimeters. "Yeah...good luck."

As the boy starts to walk towards Aurem, the saddened angel gently grabs his arm.

"Min," He exhales, almost shaking. "I'm sorry."

The raven boy stops moving, he coldly sighs, "Please let go."

Hoseok does so, backing away. A feeling of guilt resides in his stomach, but he knows that this is the best thing he could do for him.
