Chapter 11

**Luke**

“Let’s go to the aquarium.” Ashton says looking up at me from his place on my chest.

“Why?” I ask looking down at him with confusion.

“I haven’t take you on a date yet. So let’s go to the aquarium.” He says standing up.

“When?”

“Right now.” He says pulling me to my feet. I press a kiss to his soft lips and walk towards the closet. I pull on a shirt and black jeans before putting on my bracelets. We’re still in Sydney and we’re all staying at my mum’s house. Ashton giggles and grabs my hand pulling me down the hall.

“Where are you two going?” Liz shouts from the kitchen as we’re slipping on our shoes.

“ON A DATE!” Ashton screams far too loud and I laugh. We run out towards the car and get in, we blast music on the whole drive before we pull up at the aquarium. I smile as I see the look of wonder on Ashton’s face as we look at the all of the sea creatures. We spend the next three hours wandering around and stealing kisses here and there.

“Hey Luke.” Ashton says turning away from the turtles.

“I love you.” He says and I smile.

“I love you too.” I say leaning down and pressing my lips to his.

“Fags.” A voice hisses and Ashton whips his head around so fast I’m surprised he didn’t get whiplash.

“Excuse me?” He hisses at the man.

“Fags, you heard me. You are an abomination.” The man says and tears prick my eyes.

“You know what you stupid piece of shit. I can love who I want to love, so why don’t you turn your sorry ass around and leave us alone.” Ashton says pulling us away. I can’t stop the tears that are falling down my face and Ashton grabs my face.

“Luke, baby. No need to cry, we’re fine.” Ashton says and I close my eyes trying to push away the negative thoughts.

“Let’s head home. We can cuddle a bit and watch a movie before dinner okay?” He suggests and I nod lacing my hand with his so as to not scratch at my wrists. As soon as we’re home he pulls me into his arms pulling me down onto the couch.

“Ash?” I ask and he looks up at me through his lashes.

“Yea babe.” He says.

“Do you think we’ll ever get married?” I ask my voice sounding small and the grin that crosses his face could light up a room.

“Definitely Luke, we’ll adopt a kid. Probably little girl, she’ll be our little punk rock princess. When she’s a bit older we’ll get another girl or maybe a boy. We’ll watch them grow up and we’ll grow old together. ” He rambles on and I smile. I don’t deserve him, he’s too perfect.

Of course you don’t deserve him, he’s only dating you out of pity. I shake my head pushing away my negative thoughts.

“I need to go to the bathroom.” I say pulling myself away from him.

“Okay, I’m going to go help my mum with dinner.” He says pressing a kiss to my lips. I watch as he skips away and I make my way towards the bathroom. I close the door and take a shaky breath leaning on the sink.

You’re so stupid Luke, Ashton doesn’t love you. He hates you. He is doing this all out of pity, no one will ever love you. I let a sob tear through my throat and I sink to the floor my hands scratching at my arms. There’s a soft knock on the door and I silently pray it’s not Ashton.

“Luke?” I hear Emma’s voice calls and I take a shaky breath.

“Can you let me in, I need to talk with you.” She says and I don’t know why but I find myself reaching up and unlock the door. She steps in and shoots me a small smile looing down to my arms.

“I know you don’t really know me but I want you to know something. Things will get better for you Luke, Ashton loves you with all of his heart. That boy would die without you, you’re his world. He’s going to help you, no matter what your head thinks you need to know that you deserve that boy and you deserve happiness.” She says pulling may hands away from my wrists.

“I d-don’t deserve him.” I say softly and she shakes her head.

“You do, Luke you deserve the world and Ashton is going to give it to you.” She says.

“If you ever need to talk to someone other than Ashton call me.” She says handing me a slip of paper.

“Thank you.” I say and she shoots me a kind smile.

“You don’t deserve the pain you give to yourself Luke, you deserve love and you need to fight for it.” She says and I crack a smile wiping my tears.

“How did you know?” I ask and she smiles pulling up her sleeves.

“I’ve had problems too.” She says and I eye the countless scars.

“You’ll be fine Luke, it’ll get better.” She says turning and leaving the room. I take a minute to dry my eyes before leaving the room. I make my way downstairs and into the kitchen seeing Calum and Mike cuddling on the couch watching a movie with Lauren and Harry. Lauren is leaning her head on Emma’s shoulder and I smile at her. I walk into the kitchen and wrap my arms around Ashton’s waist. He leans back and presses a kiss to my cheek a big smile on his face.
