Knock Knock
"Jus' come on in, Pony! You should know that by now!" I yelled to my adorable boyfriend that always felt the need to knock on the door for permission to come in. Even though, I've already told him that he can just walk in any time he wants.
"Hey, Johnnyboy." He said with a kiss to my cheek while I was greasing my hair back.
"I got somethin' for you."
"What is it!" I asked excitedly. Pony knew that I loved it when he got me stuff.
"Here ya go." My question was answered when he pulled a beautiful bouquet of bright red roses out from behind his back.
"Thanks so much, Pony!" I squealed and took the beautiful roses excitedly. I inhaled their delicious aroma. Oh how I loved bouquets. Especially when Pony got them for me.
"But what's it f-" Oh no. How could I have forgotten what day it was.
"Oh my god, Pony! I'm so sorry! I forgot to get you something for Valentine's Day! I can-"
"It's okay, Johnny! It really is okay. I know you can't afford much anyway."
"I still feel bad." Of all days to forget what day it was, I had forgotten it was Valentine's Day. Wow, what a great boyfriend I must be.
"Seriously, don't worry about it, baby. I don't mind one bit."
"Really?"
"Really." Now what did I do to deserve such a great guy in my life? I guess Pony is my present for having to deal with my parents for all those years. If that's the case, then he is one great present.
"Now c'mon. There's this great movie playin' at the theater that i've been dying to see."
