it's been seventeen years since the two had married, falling more in love with the other each day. neither could deny, neither wanted to deny it.
yoongi wanted everyone to know jimin was his, jimin the same. their lives were amazing, perfect even.
a daughter by the name of yoohyeon who had just turned thirteen, and a son by the name of jeongin,
who'd just turned ten. a happy family. a loving family. uncle namjoon, uncle jin,
uncle jungkook uncle taehyung, uncle hobi-,
"yah dad! i am not wearing such an ugly shirt," yoohyeon argued with yoongi for a good half an hour.
she was going through a bit of a phase, neither parents knew how to handle. of course they loved their daughter to death, they loved both of their children to death but yoohyeon was still their first,
a very stressful first child to deal with.
jimin's parents, whom he hadn't talked to in ten years insisted on visiting for thanksgiving and jimin wanted everything to be perfect. yoongi was too aware of how jimin's parents treated his husband. he hated them.
hated that they hurt his love for so long. hated that jimin could just forgive them so easily. hated that they hated yoongi right back.
he hated that his children would never know the truth-,
yoongi's thoughts were interrupted by the doorbell ringing followed by jimin rushing to the door with jeongin following behind.
yoohyeon was still standing in only a bra as she'd refused to wear the shirt jimin picked out for her, yoongi was about ready to force it on.
jimin's parents entered the home, negative vibes coming from every which way.
"yoohyeon if you do not put your shirt on right now i will force it on you, make your father," yoongi spoke, referencing to jimin, "happy and do what he says," yoongi whisper yelled as jimin's parents lightly spoke to jeongin.
eventually yoohyeon gave in which resulted in jimin smiling widely and kissing both his husband and daughter on the cheek before leading his parents to the kitchen.
"hm this kitchen is an absolute mess, must've been yoongi's work," yoongi heard jimin's mother from across the house making him sigh.
it was going to be a long evening.

yoongi some how survived all of mr and mrs park's comments up until dinner, he was quite proud of himself. as long as the sour couple didn't insult yoongi's babies, including jimin, he'd be fine.
"so, yoongi," mrs park spat, turning her head to face him, "seeing as you've done just a peachy job keeping the house clean, how to you manage to keep this family from falling apart?"
yoongi looked across the table at the cold women with dark eyes, "what do you mean, mrs park?"
"i mean how has my son not left you yet? you're utter garbage how are you even loved?" though yoongi was able to ignore it, ready to give an answer that would hopefully shut her up, jimin wasn't.
jimin always kept calm with his parents, even when they'd constantly hurt him in ways you wouldn't want to imagine, but he simply couldn't sit and watch the love of his life take such false comments.
"mother, i think you should go, both of you," jimin spoke softly, "if you're going to say such hurtful things to the love of my life, you aren't welcome anymore-,"
"he's not the love of your life, jimin, you should be with a women," jimin's father spoke coldly.
"get out, you're not welcome here-,"
"jeongin is going to turn out like you two, faggots, freaks of nature, how could you do such a thing to a child? he's probably already messed up in the head with having yoongi as a father and all-,"
"get out, you're not welcome anymore. not if you're going to treat my family like this, you're not my parents. you don't treat me as a person and i simply cannot accept that, we don't need you. we have our own big family-," jimin was cut off by his father leaving, his mother trailing behind, slamming the door.
jimin sighed, teary eyed as jeongin sat on his lap trying his best to comfort his father, along with yoongi and yoohyeon sitting on either side.
comforting and supporting each other like real family does.
speaking of real family-, a knock was heard at the door. not an unexpected one, for yoongi at least.
the older hopped up, running to the door, and opening it to reveal their closest friends,
namjoon, seokjin, their son minho who was just a year older than yoohyeon,
jungkook and taehyung entering with their three year old daughter, siyeon in jungkook's arms,
and hoseok entering with his new girlfriend by the name of chaeyoung.
all of them gathering around as jimin sat up, gathering yoohyeon and jeongin, holding them close as yoongi watched with a smile.
"thanksgiving is a time of family, jimin hyung," taehyung spoke softly, "so yoongi called all of us to celebrate that with you, because we sure as hell love you like family," he finished with a smile,
earning a slight punch in the arm by jungkook for cursing in front of their three year old daughter, but it was worth it,
it got his point across.
