all the children got settled in yoohyeon's room as their parents and uncle hobi started re-cooking their thanksgiving dinner.
the kids got along rather well except for the time minho slipped, swearing a few times which scared siyeon, as taehyung and jungkook sheltered her from everything-,
shocking, right?
but other than that the night was amazing, minho and yoohyeon hadn't seen each other in quite a long time so the playful banter was very entertaining.
"ah yoohyeon that shirt is hideous," minho spat jokingly, "yah! shut it your face is hideous!"
"yoohyeon ah! not nice!" they heard taehyung yell from the kitchen, making yoohyeon huff before flicking minho on the forehead,
jeongin holding siyeon on his lap, giggling lightly at the two. the four were having a great time,
although dinner was a mess.
the others had convinced seokjin to sit this out as he'd been very stressed with both minho and namjoon; a big mistake.
the turkey was burnt, mashed potatoes.. watery? and the mess attracted the kids as soon as they heard uncle jungkook yell,
"what the fuck!" the gravy was poured all over his arm; that shit was hot.
so the children were gathered around, siyeon on jeongin's back as their parents and uncle hobi hopped around trying to make everything go smoothly while seokjin had a mental breakdown on their living room couch.
"do you guys need help?" jeongin asked softly, rocking back and fourth, holding siyeon up.
"oh! no, jeongin baby we wouldn't want you getting hurt!" hoseok smiled, poking jeongin's nose before being yelled at to take care of the food.
"i think your uncle seokjin might need help though, sweetheart," jimin spoke softly before guiding the kids toward seokjin.
"uncle seokjin ah? are you okay?" jeongin asked sweetly,
"yah jeongin just leave them alone!" yoohyeon sighed, making jeongin frown, "i'm sorry, noona!" but that only made her sigh again, making seokjin give her a concerned look.
"i'm okay, jeongin baby," seokjin smiled, kissing his cheek.
"dinner time, lovelies!" jimin ran in, picking jeongin and siyeon up, running back to the kitchen with yoohyeon, minho, and seokjin following.

"this stuff doesn't even look edible," seokjin sighed before looking up at his family, "but thank you,"
"of course hyung!" taehyung smiled through the painful burns that now covered all of their hands, but it was okay, they were all okay with it.
the dinner didn't turn out that bad, the kids fell asleep rather quickly which left time for the adults to talk about old times, their past experiences, how much they loved each other,
have them time to meet hoseok's girlfriend, who seemed as though she'd stay around for a very long time.
it was a nice night, better than other thanksgivings. maybe it was the most enjoyable thanksgiving because it was spent with real family,
maybe? no. definitely.
