Hidden Secrets (Varian x reader)

Part 12

You watched the boy as he poured a weird chemical compound on the rocks. Everything was still until a puff of purple smoke blew into your faces. He stared at you with a blank face, while you looked at him with a surprised face.

"Sorry, about that," varian said while somewhat smiling. "It's okay," you said. Then there was footsteps approaching, varian scrambled for a cloth and quickly threw it over the rocks.

"Varian, what was that noise, I could hear it from upstairs," said the man. " uhh.. nothing, I just dropped a-a book a r-really b-big book," he said stuttering. The man came and pushed varian aside like he was nothing but a stray leaf. You watched as varian kept on trying to keep his dad away from where the cloth was.

The man yanked the cloth down onto the ground beholding a rather sharp pointed rock. "Varian!" Said the man with urgency in his voice.  "What did I say about these rocks?"he said. "B-but dad you don't understand! I am so close to discovering the secret behind these rock." Said varian.

The chemical that he poured onto the rock all of a sudden started growing a type of crystal. As soon as you spotted it, it was too late. " VARIAN! WATCH OUT,!" Yelled the man as he pushed varian out of the way, causing his warm to get stuck in the peculiar crystal.

"Dad! W-wait here I'll go get help, the princess can help," Said varian. " no varian, it's too risky!" Said worriedly. "It's okay, y/n will stay here with you," Said varian as he walked out the day into the blizzard.

You awkwardly stared at the man as he was being devoured by the ember. "Look, y/n I'm most likely not going to make it until varian comes back. I want you to tell him that I have been keeping secrets, dangerous secrets, give him this note when the time is ready, and don't read it unless..." his voice was cut off from the ember. Just then varian bursted through the door.

"Hey dad, the princess couldn't come but we can..." his voice trailed off as he saw his crystallized dad. "No! Dad, daddy," he cried sorrowly . You got up and walked towards him and set your hand on his shoulders to comfort him. "I-it's not fair... I-it's all of rapunzel's fault, if it wasn't for her, my dad would still be here." He said. 

Varian got up on his feet and grabbed your shoulders saying, " it isn't fair isn't it, we can get our revenge, our revenge on corona," he said. "Revenge? What did corona do to me?" You said. " they will do something, they don't welcome outsiders," he said while shaping his hand in a fist.

You looked at him kind of hurt when he said outdsider. "We can do this together, I'm an outcast just like you, we both lost our parents, we can get our revenge." He said. "Ok, I'm in," You said hesitantly. " yes, they will pay!" He said.
