Hidden Secrets (Varian x reader)

A Hard Decision

You stared at your feet... rethinking your decision in your head... unaware of the dangers of saying just that one simple word... Yes.
You took a peek at varian to read his emotions. He surprisingly had a large grin on his face that went from ear to ear.
Relieved to find him in high spirits, you confronted him. "Varian I'm not so sure avenging your father in this particular way is right," you said in a low tone.
He placed his gaze on you as his nose started to wrinkle at the statement you just made. "Look y/n, I know this is bad but it's to right the princess's wrongs... you know like doing the bad thing for the right thing kind of thing.... you know what i mean" he said gathering the words in his mouth.
"But how could this possibly be right, whatever you are planning i know that it isn't a good thing" you said. "You didn't see me raging once my mother disappeared... I put it behind me and moved on" you said as you felt a bitter pang of sadness... remembering that cold cave floor that was as almost as cold as your heart as you waited for your poor mother to return.
"This is different! ...it's just DIFFERENT!" He said as he wiped his cheek with his glove as stray tears came running down his cheeks. With empathy, you walked over to him to comfort him. Just as you were about to embrace him, he stuck his hand up to you as sign to let you know he doesn't want you around him

You looked at him with a surprised but sorrow expression. "If you don't want to go through this plan with me then leave!" He said solemnly as tears ran down his cheek.
You looked at him, shocked that he would actually ask you to leave. Although you have only known him for a couple of days you felt like you were close with him... but it seems like you were wrong.
With sorrow in your eyes you walked out of the house leaving only two word behind. "Goodbye varian."
