"I assure you it is quite safe here." Elijah said as he walked the street outside the Abattoir.
"Elijah. You say that as if Rebekah isn't giving me hourly updates about the drama that goes on in New Orleans." You sighed, rolling your eyes when Elijah began muttering an excuse.
"Come now (Y/N). At least here you know where the baddies are coming from." He teased. And you started grumbling.
"During the day, I don't believe in ghosts. At night, I'm a little more open-minded." You said and he could almost hear your eyes roll. "New Orleans is far more full of ghosts and baddies than here. Maybe you should come here instead of us being stuck there."
"Visit for the Halloween festival the witches are throwing. I promise i will stop asking you to stay and contemplate leaving my siblings." He countered. You huffed and thought it over for a moment.
"You'll keep the ghosts at bay?" You asked playfully.
"Of course!" He said as if you'd hurt his feelings before chuckling. "I would rather you stay closer so i can keep you safe." He admitted as he stopped, leaning against a pillar.
