I left the gym earlier then Jesse, not only because I was getting uncomfortable with him glancing at me every once in a while, but because I needed to take a shower.
When I stepped out I almost fell thanks to the slippery floor. I peeked out of the bathroom and Jesse was no where in sight so I rushed into my room. I put on my red push-up bikini, let my wet hair down, switched my belly ring to a golden star, threw on some comfy shorts and grabbed my sunglasses and my book. I was about to leave the room when a huge hornet landed on my face I screamed and swatted at it obviously missing, causing it to come back and sting my neck. I screamed again and slapped my neck, missing again, so I ran out my room with teary eyes. The hornet was in view so I wiped my eyes, grabbed the fly swatter and made my way toward it. Right as I was about to kill it Jesse walked into the cabin so I missed because I was distracted, and the hornet stung my arm. I cried out again and fell to the floor and it landed on my back but didn't sting.
"Help me!" I hiccuped, trying not to cry. Jesse grabbed a magazine and made his way toward me.
"Monkey, this may hurt..."
"JUST KILL IT!"
He brought down the magazine hard on my back.
And missed.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING DON'T KILL IT YOU MURDERER JESUS!"
"YOU JUST TOLD ME TO!!" He yelled back throwing his arms up.
"AGHHHH I DONT KNOW!!"
Jesse groaned and brought the magazine down again and..
______"How the hell do you treat a hornet sting?!" Jesse seemed surprisingly panicked.
"I'll be fine, Im just gonna go change." I said. After Jesse missed, again, the hornet bit me, again! Who knows why I was in a lot of pain, especially my neck. Before I closed my door I heard him grumble,
"the one time I need google..." I smiled and shut the door. I put my bra and panties on quickly in case Jesse barged in and put a tank-top on and pajama shorts. I took my contacts off and put on my glasses and brushed my now dry hair and put it into a braid. I quickly threw on a baggy sweatshirt and socks and left the room. Jesse must have gone to take a shower because he was no longer on the couch. I began looking at movies I had on my laptop and decided to scare myself a little and chose the cabin in the woods. Before it began I went to the bathroom and knocked.
The door opened and the steamed fogged up my glasses. I removed them wiped them off and put them back on.
Of course Jesse had to be shirtless. I cleared my throat, trying to keep a straight face, but my flaming cheeks obviously showed I was uncomfortable.
"I need something."
Jesse stepped out of the way so I could grab a face towel and run it under hot water.
"Thanks." I grumbled and left.
"They suit you. The glasses I mean. You never wore them when we were together." he said, furrowing his eyebrows.
"I guess I didn't need them as much." I said looking back.
He nodded and closed the door.
_____
I clicked play and removed my sweatshirt and raised my tank-top so I could put the towel on my back. I moved the laptop to the coffee table in front of the couch and sat back down.
The bathroom door opened but I didn't bother turning around because I knew who it was.
"Whatcha watchin?" Jesse asked in a sing-song voice.
" The cabin in the woods." I sang back. He chuckled and fell on the couch next to me.
"Don't go having nightmares and coming to me to keep you safe, clear?"
I shot him a look,
"Crystal. Plus, I bet you'd love if I did that."
"Perhaps..." he said crossing his arms and looked back to the movie.
"Does it hurt?" he asked poking my neck.
I hissed and punched his arm.
"Ass hole."
"Awn. Sorry monkey."
" Whatever. You shouldn't call me that, we aren't together anymore" I mumbled.
Jesse looked like he was thinking and answered,
"Nah, Im gonna keep calling you it."
I took the cloth off my back and pulled my shirt down. I pulled my sweater over my head, and leaned deeper into the coach and put the cloth on my neck until the movie ended.
______
Once the movie ended I was wide awake. Next to me Jesse fell asleep. luckey. I didn't want to move but I also didn't want to drive myself crazy of fear. I began poking Jesse with my toe, but he didn't wake up. I sat up and lightly slapped his face, I did it again but harder. I groaned and pinched his nipple causing him to shoot up and head butted me. We both groaned and held our head in our hands.
"What the fuck Stace!" Jesse whined, rubbing his temples.
"Im sorry! I didn't want to be alone!" I cried.
Jesse took his hands and I saw he had tired eyes and he smirked.
"I thought I told you not to come to me?"
"Well it seems it was either you or the dead hornet in the garbage, and I'd rather have the company of an alive organism!" I threw my hands up in the air.
"Stacy." he said seriously.
"Yeah?"
he smiled,
"I love it when you speak nerdy to me." and winked. I felt my cheeks warm up and I awkwardly chuckled.
"Hah... okay what movie?" I asked awkwardly.
"You choose." he leaned back and watched me.
I smiled and clapped. We both decided on the matrix.
" You better not fall asleep again." I warned.
"I won't." he said putting his feet on my lap.
But this time, I did.
