Y/n POV (Age 13)
My older sister Irene has been out a lot lately. She goes out to help the community by healing their plants, soil, and their serious injuries. She always tells me to stay at home. She's only 2 years older than me but I still listen to her. Our parents passed away when I was young so I don't really remember much about them. In return for our house, Irene helps everyone. I rarely ever get out. She worries about me. Ever since we found out that I'm also a divine 5 years ago.
(The day after Irene heals Shad/years later)
I've been traveling with my older sister ever since she started. She doesn't want me to be alone. Whenever she does work though, I have to stay hidden. I'm not allowed to help. Last night, a strange brought Irene back to where we're staying. I still remember what he said. "Who are you?" He asked. "I should be the one asking that question." I said as I stood up from my bed. I was ready to fight if I needed to. "It's okay Y/n. Don't worry. He's not a bad person." Said Irene as she walked over to my side. She seemed weak.
"Are you alright Irene?" I asked her. I'm a caring younger sister. "I'm fine. Just exhausted myself." She answered. "You need to get some sleep." I told her. I looked to the man. "Thank you for helping her back." I thanked. He then left. "Remember, not to exhaust yourself again. Don't use too much of your power." I told Irene. We were getting ready to continue traveling. "I know Y/n. I won't." She said. She then put my hood over my head. I'm a bit shorter than her. "And you remember not to show anyone." She said. I nodded.
Irene POV
Today, I'm going to bring Y/n to a safe village. I can't continue to bring her with me. I feel that something dangerous will happen soon. I don't want her to be part of that. She's even more powerful than me and if anything were to happen to her... I can't even bare to think of the possibility.
Y/n POV
Irene and I travelled to a village not far from where we were. It was a nice little village. It was somewhat hidden in the trees and it had quite a few guards. It seemed like a super safe village. I looked at Irene and she seemed sad. She had tears in her eyes and some trailing down her face. "Sis? Are you okay?" I asked. She looked at me. "I'm sorry Y/n. I can't continue to bring you with me. This will be your new home. I know you're an adult but you know I'll just be bringing you into danger." Irene cried.
I could feel tears forming in my eyes too. "S-sis. Can you at least stay the night with me here before you go? And promise me you'll stay safe and visit." I asked. "I promise. And I'll stay with you for tonight but I have to leave tomorrow." She answerer. "Of course. I just don't want to be somewhere alone. At least this way, I have a day to get settled without being alone before I go meet the people." I said and smiled. She smiled at me.
"Let's go then." She said and we spent the night together. She left early the next morning after we said goodbye. I went around the village and met quite a few great people. I'll miss my sister but at least this is a nice village.
(6 years later/age 26)
I was broken down in tears. There had been a war and my 4 year old baby girl died. My husband tried comforting me but nothing worked. "Celeste! Why! Why did you have to die!" I cried. "Calm down." Said my husband. I couldn't hear him over my sadness. I was glowing. I don't even care about hiding my power anymore. I don't care about hiding the fact I'm a divine. "Y/n..." Said my husband confused. I had released some of my energy and it created something that seemed like a firework outside.
I had stopped glowing and I had passed out. One from the lack of breath from crying and also from releasing so much of my power. I woke up with my sister running into the house and coming beside me. "Y/n! What happened!?" She asked worried. "C-Celeste. My daughter. Sh-she's gone." I cried. Irene gave me a hug. "It's alright. I'm here for you. You can't stay here anymore." Said Irene as I cried into her shoulder. "W-where are we going?" I asked. "We're going back to my friends. Come on." She said.
I guess it's because of that blast of energy. I can't stay here because, anyone who might know what that is, would surely cause more trouble. "I came here because I saw the signal. I was worried." Said Irene as we walked. "I-I'm sorry." I said. "It's fine. As soon as I saw the signal, I left. My friends were also worried. They were worried about a threat." Said Irene. A threat? I looked at her. "They don't know about you. They're probably out looking for me right now." Said Irene.
As if on cue, a man with blond hair and dark blue eyes came over to us. I had my hood on covering me face and my head down. "Irene! You had us all worried!" Said the man. "I'm sorry Esmund." Apologized Irene. "Who's that?" Asked Esmund. "This is Y/n. She's my sister." Explained Irene. "You have a sister!?" The man seemed shocked. "H-hi." I said in a quiet and strained voice. "Is she alright?" Asked Esmund. "Her daughter just passed recently." Irene explained. I still had tears in my eyes. "I'm so sorry to hear that Lady Y/n." Said Esmund.
This was just the beginning of the suffering.
