Chapter 5: New Faces

Eclipse POV

Travis sat up and I looked at Aphmau. "Is there anything I could do to help the village?" I asked. "Um, nothing I can think of. I don't really know what you could do just yet in terms if skills." Aphmau replied. "Alright." I said. I just now noticed my shoulder getting a bit sore from carrying my bag. I think Aphmau noticed this. "Here. Let me show you where you're gonna live." Said Aphmau. "That would be appreciated. Thanks." I said. She then lead me to one of the houses. Garroth, Katelyn, and Travis all got to work on building the village.

Aphmau opened the door to one of the houses. It was fairly empty inside. That's how it's easy to tell no one live here yet. "You can stay in this house." She said. "Thank you." I thanked. "I'll let you get settled in." She said and left. I started unpacking my things in my bedroom. Once that was done, I decided I'd introduce myself to some of the people here. I stepped out of my house. I noticed quite a few people. One if them was a girl with red hair who was with a girl, maybe about 15 years old, who had wolf ears and a wolf tail.

I decided to go talk to them first. "Um. Hello. I'm new here." I said to get their attention. They both looked at me. "Hello. My name is Kiki." Greeted the red haired woman. "Hi! I'm Leona!" Greeted the wolf girl. "My name is Eclipse. Pleasure to meet you." I said with a smile. I talked with the two for a bit longer. Apparently, Leona is Kiki's daughter. I also found out Kiki isn't Kiki's real name. I don't know what her real name is though. I can surely get along with these people. I'm not going to tell them about the O'Khasis thing though. Not until I'm ready to.

Then, the two had to go. I decided to take a little walk in the forest near the village. Not long into the walk, I ran into a man with brown hair and green eyes. When I say ran into, I mean I walked into them. I fell to the ground and so did the man. "I am so sorry!" I said. "It's fine." I said. He got up and offered me a hand up which I accepted. "Thank you." I said. "No problem. So who are you?" Asked the man. "My name is Eclipse. I'm new to the village." I introduced myself.

"Where are you coming from?" The man asked. I know I said I wouldn't tell anyone, but I don't want to lie. "O'Khasis." I said quietly with my head down. "What's your name?" I asked the man, wanting to change the subject. I'm surprised he wasn't mad when I told him about being from O'Khasis. "Vylad." He answered. That explains it. He's one of the missing sons of Lady Zianna. Next thing I know, I'm being pinned to a tree by a shadow knight. "What are you doing here?" The shadow knight asked in a threatening tone.

"I was invited here by Miss Aphmau." I answered. "Do you even know who I am?" I asked. "Anyone from O'Khasis is bad." He said. "Tell that to Vylad and Garroth." I said. "They ran away long ago!" The shadow knight yelled. "And I couldn't!" I yelled back. I know he's holding a sword to my neck but I'm not scared. "Why couldn't you?" He asked in a still threatening tone. "Because I had nowhere to go! No memories. No parents. No family. The only person I had was Lady Zianna." I answered.

"I don't believe you." Said the shadow knight. "Laurence! Let her go! Lady Aphmau is the one who brouhy her here!" Yelled Vylad. The shadow knight let me go. Finally. When he did, I had fallen to the ground. Vylad cane over and helped me up. "Thank you." I thanked Vylad. "Laurence! Not everyone from O'Khasis is bad!" Yelled Vylad. The shadow knight went out of his shadow knight form. "What's going on here!? I heard yelling!" Asked Aphmau as she ran towards us.

"Just a small misunderstanding." U answered. "Hey Laurence." Said Aph when she saw Laurence. "Lady Aphmau, is it true that you invited this O'Khasian here?" Laurence asked Aphmau. "I was going to tell you but I didn't know where you were...." Said Aphmau. Laurence turned to me. "I'm terribly sorry." He apologized. "It's alright." I said. "Did something happen?" Aph asked. "Um.... Laurence thought Eclipse was a bad person because she's from O'Khasis." Said Vylad.

"But you and Garroth are from O'Khasis." Aph said to Vylad. "But they ran away." I stepped in. "That's right. You couldn't." Said Aph, realizing why the misunderstanding happened. "Anyway. Let's start over. Hi. My name is Eclipse." I introduced myself to Laurence. "My name is Laurence. I'm one of Lady Aphmau's guards." Laurence introduced himself. "Pleasure to meet you." I said and smiled at him. He smiled back. "Great! Now you guys are on good terms. Um Laurence, can I ask for you to help with building a few houses?" Aph asked.

"Seriously? Do you remember the last time I tried building?" Laurence asked. "Right. Vylad?" Aph asked. "Sure." Vylad answered. He then went off to help build houses. "Laurence, can you help guard the village? I need to go somewhere for a bit." Said Aphmau. "Where are you going?" Laurence asked. "To see Hyria." She answered. "Why?" Laurence asked. "I want to ask her about the relics." Aph answered. "Can I come?" I asked. Aph looked at me. "Why do you want to come?" She asked.

"Remember that theory I had? I want to see if I can get anymore information about it." I answered. "I was going to ask about that any about what you said about Irene's relic." Aphmau told me. "What?" Laurence asked confused. "I guess you didn't know. Eclipse has a theory about a seventh relic. She also helped us in the Irene dimension. She stopped Zane from getting the Irene relic." Aph explained. "I thought he didn't get it because it went to you since you're the rightful owner of it." Said Laurence.

"That's what I thought but Eclipse said that she was there with us. It's just, we couldn't see eachother." Said Aph. "Alright. Can I go with you two?" Laurence asked. "I'm sorry Laurence but the less people the better." Said Aph. "Eclipse is coming because she wants the same kind of information as I do." Said Aphmau. "But wouldn't it be safer if a guard went with you?" Laurence protested. "I can fight perfectly fine." Said Aph. "Fine. I'll help guard the village." Laurence sounded defeated.

Maybe I can get some answers now.
