Chapter 7: Enki's Relic

Eclipse POV

As we were walking back to the village, I decided to speak. "Hey Garroth, how did you know about Ivy fighting us?" I asked. "Because Vylad told me he saw her in the trees following you guys." Said Garroth. So Vylad is good at sneaking around? We arrived back at the village just a moment later. It was starting to get dark out so I went to my house and slept for the rest of the night. I woke up fairly early in the morning. That's normal. I got myself ready for the day. When I stepped outside, I saw Laurence.

"Um. Hey Laurence." I said. "Hey. I heard from Garroth that you put up an even fight against Ivy yesterday. If you could fight, why didn't you fight me when I held you against the tree yesterday?" He asked. "Because I knew you were a good person." I answered simply. "But I was in my shadow knight form." He said. I'm aware. I'm also aware you're not a full shadow knight. I could just tell you were good." I said. "I don't know how but okay. (Still, a normal person would've still pushed me away at least.)" He mumbled the last part but I could still hear.

"I'm pretty sure that normal people don't randomly wake up one morning in a forest with no memories." I said. "Fair point." He said. Then, Aph came up to us. "Hey Eclipse, me and Garroth want to go out to find clues on where the other relics are. You wanna come?" She asked. "Sure." I said. She turned to Laurence. "You coming?" She asked. "Yes I am." He answered. "Where do we start looking for divine relics?" Laurence asked. "We can start by asking Travis. He's not from this region so he might know something about Enki's relic." Aph replied.

As if on cue, Travis came up to us. "Hey. I heard from Katelyn you guys are looking for the relics. There may be a clue back on my island." Said Travis. "Do you have any idea where Enki's relic is?" Aph asked Travis. "Yeah..... The demon warlock has it..." Answered Travis. "Of course he does." Aph said disappointed. "Anyway. There may be clues back in the secret space we found when we met." Said Travis. "Oh yeah. That place." Said Aph, remembering the place Travis was talking about.

We then set off on a journey to Travis' island. By we, I mean, me, Aphmau, Laurence, Vylad, Katelyn, Garroth, and Travis. Wow. That's a lot of people now that I think about it... Anyway, we went on a boat that fit all of us comfortably. I was kinda surprised by that. We were on the boat for a couple of days before we got to an island. Poor Katelyn got super seasick. "We're here." Said Travis who was steering the ship. We all got off the boat. "Oh yeah. We need to warn everyone that hasn't been here before about the imps. They'll take the form of someone they've seen before to attack you. Stay close to the group." Warned Aph.

"Thanks for the warning." I said. I already had my purple hood on. I just feel comfortable with it on. Everyone has seen my face anyway so it's not like I'm trying to be mysterious. Either way, it may help against the imps. "Let's go. The secret place is this way." Said Travis. We all followed him. He brought us to a cave with a strange door that opened for us. We went inside. There was a book. It was saying something. An enchanted book. To some people, it's just a blank book. To others, it may say something. The messages are different for each person there's a message for unless the enchanter makes it the same.

I heard what the book said. That means I'm one of the people it's meant to talk to. Or at least, I have some sort of connection with them. "Y/n. If you can hear this book, you probably came to see my library. In order to get there, you either need my relic and Irene's relic or your relic." The book said. "I'm glad I got to meet Irene's younger sister." It concluded. I'm guessing that was left by Enki because of the fact this looks like some kind of ruins on an island that worships Enki.

"Y/n? That name again." I said quietly to myself. I snapped out of my thoughts and saw everyone looking around for clues. "What did you say?" Asked Aph. She seems like she has been trying to snap me back to reality for a while. "I knew it. A seventh relic." I said. "You said the name Malachi called you yesterday." Said Aph. "The book. It talked to me. It called me Y/n and told me about Enki's library being here. It said that we either need Enki's relic and Irene's relic or we need the relic belonging to Y/n." I explained.

I looked to Travis. "We need Enki's relic." I told him. "The only way we'll get it is by killing my father." He said. "You don't seem opposed to the idea." I commented. "I'm not. I just don't want to see him again. I'm also not sure if I'll be able to end him this time." He replied. "That book you carry. Use it." I said. "How did you know-" I stopped him. "I can sense the power from the book you carry in your pocket." I answered. "Do you have magicks or something?" Asked Garroth.

"Not that I know of." I answered. "But then how-" I cut him off. "That's not important! What is important is that we get that relic." I said. "Okay." "Come on." I rushed. The sooner we get the relic, the sooner I can find out about the seventh relic and that Y/n person. "Alright. Me, Eclipse and Travis will go get the relic. The rest of you stay here. Whenever you see us, know we'll all be together so ask Eclipse to take off her hood to prove she's not an imp." Said Aph. We all nodded. Not quite sure why I'm going with them but whatever.

I hope we get that relic.
